Intermission 11 Page 8

“We’ve barely been able to collect enough rain water to keep going.”
“So many of our animals have grown sick or died.”
“And then whatever foulness is in the well water got into the ground, and now the fields have started to go…”
“People have been leaving. A few every day for weeks.”
“I’m going to have to go soon myself.”
“Oh no! But what if we can fix it?”
“Fix it?”
“Yeah! What if we can go into the dungeon and find whatever it is that’s making all the poison?”
“It won’t change everything that’s already happened, but things should start to get better, right?”
“There’s a DUNGEON down there?!”
“We’ll just go take a look and see what we can do, okay?”
“…What about all the coins I threw in, wishing for the water to go back to normal?”
“Do those wishes not count if a monster starts guarding the coins as its hoard?”
Oh,is THAT why there’s a monster st the bottom of every well in a RPG?Robbery, without the actual act of robbery? ….. …..And no,I don’t think those wishes count when a monster steals a coin.
I COULD have written down the text, but 1)It’s very bright & easily readable, and 2)That’s the other guy’s gimmick.I don’t want to step on his toes
Just to reiterate from lest page:let’s not fcck this up like the Caravan.
OK, I skimmed back over that dungeon and I can’t figure out what you’re talking about. We got our pack mule killed, but I’d hardly call that fxcking up the dungeon. Or did you mean the Farm, maybe?
I think we also had to skip a bunch of stuff in fear of losing the objective. I didn’t participate in that dungeon.
Me neither,Amy’s LVL-UP page is the first one I saw after coming here from Top Webcomics,so this’ll be the first time I influence the characters (not counting my math & MANOR suggestions from 4 pages ago).
Both you & Cloud are correct. As far as “things going bad”,that & the Barracks fit the description the most.Even dealing with zombies didn’t go that poorly.
I have joined while you lot were still discussing Amadeusz’ new abilities,& binged everything in 5~ish days,& can’t recall everything PERFECTLY…But I do know many mistakes were avoidable. It’s why I was so mad when I found out that bomb-making gnome was SUPPOSED to be a recruit (& not something like the Angry Drunks, who we were MERELY supposed to keep alive) after visiting the Ko-fi page.
Yeah, we know. Your entrance was hard to miss 🙂
By the way, “you lot” has a slightly derogatory tinge that I’m sure you didn’t mean.
I didn’t even KNOW it could be used in a derogatory way.I always heard it used in the same manner as “y’all”…
As for the Caravan, that dungeon had an extremely tight time limit. I was just happy that we were able to achieve the objective, and after rereading I still feel the same way. Yes, we missed out on some loot, but we always miss out on some loot. The dungeons are designed so that it’s impossible for us to do everything, and often the trickiest part is deciding when to quit. There’s always the temptation to try for just one more chest, or one more room, or one more enemy, and that has gotten us into some much more stressful situations (e.g., the end of the Farm) than anything that happened in the Caravan.
No one’s stopping you! I generally don’t touch easily readable text because there’s no need to.
Of course they count! Your wish will be fulfilled by us. We’ll keep the coins though
I suppose that’s ONE way to interpret what we’re doing. But I would hardly describe THESE4,or the OTHER 5,as “divine agents”.Just look at them.
Cut the bucket rope so no villagers follow us down. Gotta keep them safe.
Seems good to me. We have Lara who can climb out and we have rope
Look at you, subverting the expectations of your name. But I’m worried about what’ll happen to Cordy & Amy if we lose the rope anywhere.
