Dungeon 6 Turn 19
————
Lohk returns to the library and pushes the one out of place bookshelf (possibly shoved aside when the gigantic worm wriggled its way into one of the tiny little books) back into what appears to be its correct position. She detects an audible click after doing so, but she isn’t sure what it signifies. She doesn’t notice anything that has changed, at least not in this room.
Ricki ties her rope around the wolf spider’s… somewhere or other, then tries to get it to climb up to the chest. It doesn’t seem to be able to do this. Generally pets are pretty limited in what actions they can perform, and although the wolf spider knows how to ATTACK distant targets, it can’t seem to understand Ricki’s desire for it to go stand in a specific location.
Macadamia pushes the empty chest down the ladder, but it shatters upon impact with the floor. It leaves behind a sizeable piece of debris.
Lara cooks another steak. She holds on to this one, but decides to drop her moldy cheese on the ground.

DEBRIS
Weapon/Shield
Atk +1 if used as a weapon, or Def +1 if used as a shield. 50% to break each time it is used.
Weight 1, Cost –
Mac: Double move down to the basement’s top level
Lara: Eat your steak
Lohk: Search the last bookshelf on this level
Ricki: Join Lohk and search the first bookshelf on the second level
Mac’s verifying the tomb skulls and testing the hypothesis that the spectre attacks the target closest to the tomb. If it attacks Lara, then the case might be it attacks randomly, but not the same target until all party members have been hit once.
Everybody else is doing something chill, waiting for November to come around before we go busting down skeletons.
Ricki has no inventory room – probably a good idea to clear space before searching.
The rope, maybe?
Next turn, the Spectre will strike again! Possibly hitting the person nearest to his sarcophagus.
Materials for Woodworking bench to make wooden stake’s?
Yes, we’re pretty sure
Lara: Go attempt a removal of the painting.
Ricki: Boost Macadamia up to try moving the painting. Afterwards go down to the basement and try lockpicking the bottom right chest if you have an available action. Drop your rope with the loot pile in the kitchen on the way.
Macadamia: Try removing the painting after getting boosted.
Lohk: Stand/sit on Daisy and try to help with the painting removal.
Hopefully two smalls will be equal to one tall character and we can get the painting down.
I really wonder what clicked. There aren’t many things we’ve seen here that could be remotedly-opened-by-a-shelf-moving. It could be one of the closed doors. It could be something hidden behind painting, or under/behind sofas. Or somewhere a new passage could have been opened, but the map roughly fits a building with tower, so maybe extra basement room?
I would wager extra basement room
Maybe we can have Ricki tie the rope, like a lasso, around the lower right corner of the painting, then she could climb the ladder and heave up the painting while Lara lifts from the lower left corner. They can work together to put the painting down.
This frees Mac up for exploring.
Can’t edit this, but we’d like to move the painting to the left/below the ledge, so that we can both see what was behind it and also consider using it to climb up to the chest.
tell the spider to attack the chest
