Dungeon 11 Turn 33
————
Ricki unlocks the basement door, then points out the many traps in the room so her friends can navigate it safely.
Kamau jumps down into the kennels and runs past the four dogs to pull the lever. It gives a satisfying clunk as it flips into position, indicating that it did something. Amadeusz then pulls Kamau back up out of the pit, leaving the dogs behind. Fortunately Kamau takes no damage.
After crawling through the hole in the wall. Macadamia arrive in a bedroom up above and loads another box of parts into Golly’s packs. He goes back through the hole and returns to the basement.
This was a triumph; I am making a note here: Huge Success.
For the people who are…still alive…
this hits differently after seeing the future :'(
Ricki: Point out any traps in the current room to your party mates and lead them to the room to the left. Attack the Golem with your Swiftblade. (14 Atk)
Kamau: Avoid traps, follow Ricki, and attack the Golem with your Hilt. (13 Atk)
Macadamia: Follow Ricki to the next room while avoiding traps, head up the ladder and drop a suit of Chain Armour next to the small hole up there. Then trade your Corona and Suns Raze for the Longbow on Golly’s Packs. From as high up the ladder as you can make a shot from, fire an arrow at the Golem. (4 Atk)
Amadeusz: Follow Ricki to the next room while avoiding traps, but do not engage with the Golem. Instead, maintain position and use your Pipes on it.

The hard and fast approach. This has a chance of doing 2 damage to Ricki, putting us at 4/5 Remorse, but Ricki has the dodge ring and Amadeusz is piping the Golem, so we have good odds.
I think we’ll be fine with this plan, but if someone wants to post a more conservative approach where we trade Ricki a stronger shield and scout the Golem room before engaging, I’m all for it.
I agree. Better do it in one turn, lest the golem’s handler steps in. Not to mention that we’re short on time
Might want to specify the traps. I know LSN knows which traps we mean but I’d like to be extra careful
Are we confident the golem won’t fire a holy bolt at Mac? Trading the corona for the longbow would put him at just 2 def, and the holy bolt hits for 7 dmg…
Was discussed at Discord:
I was wrong actually, he will take 5 dmg. Still not enough to kill him and the golem wouldn’t target him anyway
Golem description is specific with its targeting: Closest target
Awesome, thank you both!
Speeding up is good. There are still beds to check under and bombs to plant.
Alternatively, we could just take the bomb materials with us. They sell for a decent bit, and that way we wouldn’t be crushing poor Rusty #2
Here is the thing. Many dungeons have awarded us with items related to the dormant gods of the setting. Despite the fact that we sold many of those items, I personally like getting them. And considering what we know about the Emperor, helping out the other gods is kind of slap to his face.
I say this because I believe that putting the bombs together and blowing the shit out of this place might award us the favor of the Deity of Artifice or whatever you wanna call them.
