Dungeon 13 Turn 53
————
Lara runs back out of the room, past the solar guardians (taking another 2 damage), then into the basement of the room she started in.
Amadeusz begins making his way back to the central hallway.
Ricki returns to the central room. She can clearly see two guards and a justiciar fighting a giant elemental. Honestly, even without Dungeon Eyes, she’s not sure how anyone could miss this happening right in front of them. She uses Case on the justiciar, but he’s not carrying anything besides his visible gear.
The guard patrol attacks the giant elemental and appear to do some decent damage. However, the nearby wisp fires a shot at the marauder and somehow transforms it! The fire elemental lashes out and deals minor damage to the heavily armoured guard in front of it.
Cordy “drinks” a potion of holy resistance. They are now ready to go slap a justiciar upside the head.
Oh, nice, I think it’s fairly certain that the Elemental Heart will work on the Marauder now. I think the bigger problem now is going to be figuring out how to undo their transformation, if that’s even possible, assuming that the Heart doesn’t do that on its own.
Ooh.. so he changes the elements on its own. I thought it was the tank’s doing.
Re follow-up actions – Remember the Table-in-the-Lab?
“Those items are of no use, at least to her, at least at this time”, or something like that.
It might turn out that we actually need to drag the elemental/ist there, to, idk, get the small ball that turns out to be his eyeball or something.
But I think the best part will be that we don’t. I think we just need to pacify, then exit. He can cool down outside. Bruce won’t notice a huge luminous colorful figure like that 🙂
That items were probably actually parts of something-good that we’d need to construct (think: bomb recipe) and that we’d need to find the recipe first (think: scientists)
Also, it just occurred to me that the glass-thing might actually be a thing the crows want. But it’s a bit strange we can’t pick it up and give it to them, so probably it’s not it.
My guess is they’re a wand (or similar) that our friend refuses to leave without, which is necessary for recruiting
Hmm. Orange really isn’t his color. We should lure him to a room with a purple or a black wisp.
I know your kidding but I imagine if we had prepared a green wisp ready to be released here. Free giant heals!
That fire wisp really screwed the elemental. Would be a much easier to fight if it became holy
Plan slap a justiciar upside the head
This defeats him even if he buff himself assuming he is 12hp 2def at base(we know super justiciar is 15hp 3def)
Also, checking que’s idea from before that the real friend could still be in tank room and this is just a summoned monster.
Ricki: Heart giant elemental. Move right to peek that room then move back to the others.
Amad: Move right to claw justiciar
Cordy: Punch justiciar
All mushies: Punch justiciar
Lara: Go to the chest with ceiling walk to avoid pressure plate and loot it(ideally while standing sideway on left wall). Ceiling walk again to move left while avoid pressure plate
I can see Lara avoiding the pressure plate maybe, but we’ve never been able to open up chests except from directly in front of them, so she’ll definitely get hit once. Also, Lara has 1 Mov, so she can end her turn by moving left.
Ye edited to move left just now. Trying the sideway loot because why not, but hit once is fine with all her def and hp.
Do you think we should risk 45 and edit to have all mushies attack?
It’s probably fine to have 45 attack. I don’t think the guards are going to prioritize little shrooms over Ricki, Cordy, Amadeusz, or the giant elemental monster.
Gotcha, edited.
Btw guys, I’ll be gone for a while so if there’s any more edits wanted, you’ll need to make another post
Plan: use heart and go
Ricki: throw the heart at the big elemental from far away.
Cordy: attack justicar
Cordy’s army of shrooms: attack the justicar
Amad: move right. Attack justicar
Lara: unequip armor, move left. Move left. Action move up.
Patrol comes in 2 turns. We need to whittle this patrol down as much as possible.
I’m still not convinced That looting that trapped chest is 100% safe for Lara. Wolves might hit the plate triggering the trap and additional time. If those are death arrows she’s dead. Unlikely I know, but I am just tired of taking risks when the benefits are so low. So Lara is moving so she can help central next turn.
Totally agreed. Considering that elemental did “minor damage” and the guards did “decent damage”, we should actually help get rid of those guards asap. It seems that the elemental is strong enough to stand ground, but not strong enough to kick the guards them out.
It would probably be totally different case if we did not shoot down all the wisps that were there in the boiler-room. If all of those wisps were left there, they’d probably randomize the effects each turn, death including (which would probably wreck the opponents, were it guards, or us), maybe even life including (i dont remember if ‘life’ wisp was there).
I wonder, if the wisp firing at the elemental only changed it, or maybe also “powered it up”. I mean, first shot = change, second shot on the next turn – no effect, or, idk, +1atk, or +1hp?
bruh why tf have lara going in circles doing jack lol she just got there
They want to wrap up the dungeon asap while avoiding running Lara into any death traps.
yup, couldnt phrase it better
I *know* we are low on time, and have lots to do, but still — if we want some fun, we could send Ricky back to top-right to fetch one of the containers, then carry it HERE and drop it straight through the hole in the floor.
First, maybe it lands on the Justicar for laughs!
Second, it will break, it will free the wisp, and add it to the elemental’s pool, for science!
but we probably should just KO the guards, and Heart-Attack the Elemental, and check the BoilerRoom to the right to see if it is really unamusingly empty and demolished, or maybe something interesting is there (items, shield-made-of-tough-glass, army if wisps, idk)
Ricki Cordy Deus do what others said
Lara kill boss crow with ur shroom
Boss drops are the best. lets rekt it 4 sick magic
Could be more difficult than that. Lara can muster 7 Atk with her unarmed strike. We dont have stats for the Elder, but there are two Heal-type crows with him. If they their boss for 3 each, and they have any defense (like from the Elder’s Holy spell) its possible Lara can’t do anything to it.
Maybe if Laras shroom attacked and blew up the crows would have to split their healing.
Alright, I forgot that those are healing-type crows.. Now I know it all, good one LSN!
Listen up: we already saw that a wisp from the boiler room followed the elemental. the But the crows are aligned to many elements, just like wisps, right? They even have an elemental-stone instead of a brain. And the boss-crow with three eyes is kinda abnormal and definitely wanted something from us here. Sooo – what if ‘elemental’ guy is not a person (and not a mushroom either, we already have one), that ‘hand’ we saw on the preview on KoFi is actually a claw, and this “guy” is actually an uber-magic-crow, and the crows here are a rescue team which got stuck due to all the shinies here, and here the crow-guy regardless of what we do is already obviously almost-dying (either by us, or by the patrols, or just by the fact he was in the sucking-your-energy tank for an indeterminate amount of time), and we actually have to carry/drag him down to the crows so the triple-healing action rescues him? ha! take that plot twist!
