“You doing okay?”
“You usually seem more relieved after we get home.”
“I just still can’t believe what those cultists were doing.”
“Turning not only against the Emperor, but against their own people!”
“It disgusts me.”
“A while back, Lara told me about the kinds of people that were at the arachnomancer temple with her. Even if Id never agree with what they were doing… I think I kind of got why they thought they had to do it.”
“But none of the dragon cultists wanted to talk to us. I wish we could’ve found out more.”
“There’s nothing they could say to me to change my mind.”
“It’s a betrayal of everything the Emperor gave us.”
“Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m absolutely thrilled to have an ice box again and I’m going to make SO MUCH DINNER.”

Ricki’s sure things are more complicated than Macadamia wants to believe. If only there was some way she could find out more, maybe she could help him. But since she can’t do that right now, she resolves to at least help him with dinner as a show of support for her friend.

…But then she passes out from exhaustion instead.
I think we need to get around to doing Macadamia personal quest if we want him to shake out.
I’m not 100% sure I remember correctly, but… didn’t the whole “lets make dragons suitable for fighting in this dungeon” (so he can keep the war going) happen as per orders from the Emperor?
And if I do remember correctly: Is Macadamia ignorant of that particular tidbit of information or does he just not want it to be true, therefore it “isn’t true” (in his mind)?
I dont remember that. Mac’s story shared how the kobolds and dragons fought amongst themselves until the Emperor came through and killed all the Dragons, thus freeing the Kobolds from their overlords and having to kill each other.
The Dragon cultists have all been trying to recreate dragons to kill the emperor, much like the drow are trying to build up their numbers for the the same reason.
That’s my understanding at least.
Honestly, we dont know much about the Emperor at all. Besides Amad’s side (reminder: Sketchy) telling us that the Empire is picking fights with Elemental planes because it always needs an enemy to fight, and how he seems to be looking for a Goblin with Dungeon Eyes, thats really all we know about his goals.
Mac is right. Flawless logic
