Frankly, it’s less about unseen coloured text than about my passion for the dramatic today…
NARRATOR (with a strong, yet sensitive voice): With a wave farewell, Ricki and her friends leave the farmers to try and repair their community.
RICKI: (gives the villagers a friendly wave)
LITTLE KID VILLAGER WITH REALLY COOL HAIR, BALD VILLAGER, AND FEMALE VILLAGER WEARING BARON MANSLAUGHTER’S HELMET: (wave back)
DISGUSTING VILLAGER: (crawls out of the well, disgusted by the smell, taste, and feel of clear water)
VILLAGER WITH A HAT AND VILLAGER WITH A BUN (make possibly rude gestures towards Disgusting Villager)
AMADEUSZ (been there, seen that): “I give them about a week.”
Don’t be so cynical,Amadeusz. They should be fine without the protagonist’s constant supervision. And hey, atleast the village is(HOPEFULLY)not run by libertarians.
…..On an unrelated note,we MIGHT have enough junk to sell to get up to 40+ coins. While we COULD buy something like the Magic Tome,it might be better to get 2 Hearty Meals & bring Kamau along for the ride next time.
What is with your obsession with hearty meals. They aren’t a BAD choice, but you’re effectively buying 4 lesser health potions for 20g. It’s a good deal if all the characters need the extra health (that would otherwise cost 32g), but not necessarily a better deal than a lot of the more permanent Manor upgrades.
Also Kamau coming along is the worst use case for Hearty Meals. Unless you’re planning on bringing along a lot of people who sacrifice health (like Cordy), either the extra health on the squishies is wasted, or Kamau is going to remorse out.
Which part of that looked like “obsession” to you?If the Research Outpost is going to be extra-difficult (as Paws stated) & could have unblockable/death magic, then Kamau needs to be extra tank-y to properly Interpose.
And AFAIK Botanya’s debuff doesn’t work on magic attacks,& Lara,Amy and Ricki are the ones with enough stats to deal with a point-blank magic explosion. If we DO need healing potions,we can get them from chests & dead guards (or Lohk if we decide to bring her along).
Hearty meal with Kamau on the team basically just affects Kamau due to remorse. All the characters have more than 5 health so he will retreat before the hearty meals matter. If you just want him to have 4 more health, greater healing potions do basically the same thing by healing 5 and are only 17 gold. Unless you think kamau will get one shot from near full health or that space will matter, there is no difference as if Kamau flees the dungeon is basically done anyways.
1. Not all upgrades presented are good options
2. You are naming literally the worst use of the upgrade. The good use of the upgrade would be using it when you’re running a party that doesn’t contain Kamau, so that remorse isn’t an issue, and is overall low on tankiness/healing, so that the extra health makes a difference.
Well,Lara’s the 2nd best tank.I was likely too focused on getting Kamau’s last point of affection that’s left.
And hey,how can we prove there WON’T be something like one-shots?There COULD be some extra-annoying crap that can bypass DEF!

I see in the background that the villager who was throwing dead fish down the well when he happened to slip and fall in has somehow managed to survive and climb out. Hopefully he has learned something from the experience…
…I hope we never see “THE POISONED WELL, PART II” !!
Oh wow!Besides the hermit crab’s name, the ARCHIVEs are also updated,& they have a new section dedicated to plot pages.Neat!I just noticed that after posting the above comment.
These generally show up under Manor on the turn that voting opens for buying equipment, which is also the time when Paws reveals updated inventory. Any spending planning before that point shouldn’t get too detailed as new options might compete.
What’s a well going to do to help us?It’s either going to pair with the kitchen, the (unbuilt) booze still,or will act like the Chicken Coop & Ice Box.I can’t envision it providing buffs like the Library.
We’ll also discover in this intermission whether there are side benefits to labour buildings like the Sentry Post and Mammoth Paddock. The Dead Drop was a little disappointing here, though I guess the lens discount is good. Anything beyond the listed benefit is a happy surprise.
Plusythe gang interacting is a welcome source of humor,& more people = more humor.I imagine Macadamia using the mammoth’s trunk as a lift-attached-to-an-arm & painting the outside of the Manor.

He’s crawling out of the well. Go back and finish the job, Cordy.
What is it with people constantly giving me dislikes? What new data am I supposed to gather from this? That guy up there made a joke about killing a civilian, but I can make aditions to that joke?Where is the mistake that I made?
Honestly in this case I’m guessing people are just annoyed with you in general, not that specific comment. I don’t see any reason to downvote you there.
Most of me being annoyed is that I don’t get any clue as to what I did wrong,so I don’t know what I should change or where I did wrong.
Like 5 pages ago, when people suddenly decided they WANTED Amy’s ressurection ability, when I recall how I was downvoted for suggesting it the PREVIOUS time we took him.
Me snarking/hanging a lampshade on the change-of-opinion was taken as jerkass behaviour.Implying that anyone from Nostalgia Critic to Joe Rogan can be sarcastic,BUT.NOT.ME.
Yay for double standards! =)
Yet another reference to WSWFG that I don’t get.
Oh well, sooner or later I’ll get a holiday from my work,& enough free time to bing years of pages in a week.Eventually.
Is Ardon also an old guy with a suspicious background?

Why, thank you kindly!

…Then why’d LSN give us that as an upgrade option? What’s the point?
And yes, space will be an issue if we’re planning to carry as much loot as from the Guard Outpost.

We won’t.We’ll just do what Mr.Welch does & throw TNT in the well instead of going down there.
Unrelated but:HAH.The SCP1104 pet is called Yorrick.I love that.
Oh wow!Besides the hermit crab’s name, the ARCHIVEs are also updated,& they have a new section dedicated to plot pages.Neat!I just noticed that after posting the above comment.
He probably wouldn’t have survived the encounter with feesh flock, which means he didn’t see them, which means he didn’t learn anything.
POISONED WELL PART 2 LESGOOOOO
prev page has wrong ‘next’ link – it points to 12-turn-2 instead of 12-page-2
I noticed that too.I have no idea why,but maybe the code has the wrong “target” for “send to”…
Hmm I dont see such upgrade to the Manor.. will some new option show up?

My guess is +Labor like the other food themed upgrades but you never know for sure with LSN until its posted.
And evidence suggests that the rest of the audience hatr +Labour options.
I don’s even know why my reply below King Marth’s got downvoted.I didn’t even suggest we purchase the well!

Would’ve been nice to have the poison AoE attack for this situation.

Honestly in this case I’m guessing people are just annoyed with you in general, not that specific comment. I don’t see any reason to downvote you there.
It might be that you care about the dislikes and have been vocal about it and now people just troll you. I put you back to zero if that helps.
Most of me being annoyed is that I don’t get any clue as to what I did wrong,so I don’t know what I should change or where I did wrong.
