Dungeon 5 Turn 22
————
Kamau and the spider continue to attack the bugbear, nearly knocking him out. The spider takes 1 damage in return. Meanwhile, Ricki and Lara start looting. Ricki drops some of the things she’s holding and takes the rusty greatsword and two rusty daggers from the room, then leaves.
Lara opens the nearby chest and finds a bunch of stuff inside, including a magic lens, two new kinds of potion, and a really creepy little doll. She has room in her inventory, but isn’t sure which item to take, so she leaves all of it where it is for now.
After dropping all her rusty items in the room above, Ricki descends back to the room with the giant bug monster and the kobold. She has a question for the kobold, but can’t gasp it out after the effort of stealing a rusty dagger from under the feet of the bugbear earlier this turn.

We have the doll, we know where the ball is, and we can get the dog. We can get at least two missions done, might as well focus on them.
Suggestion for later:
we can give Dolly Mommy new-ball with doll and send her home. Ask her to give it to kids and tell them to kick old-ball down the corridor to us.
It’s a ball, it should roll.
Would save Ricki time running around. She is usefull with us
“It’s a ball, it should roll.” Regularly, yes, but not in a Dungeon: There was the idea: throw stuff into the next room instead of going there. LSN said no. Therefore the ball should also be magically held at the border before the next room. But that way we could at least get the kids home and that quest solved. (If the child can carry doll and ball, but we could ask her when giving her Dolly.) And your plan saves time of interacting with the ball playing kids, just picking up unattended ball.
hmm, could we somehow make the Gang take it to us?
Inbefore the kids decide to keep both balls because two are better than one. 😀
About time to see what the lever does (Lara). If it opens the wall to the safe, I believe that the plan was to ask the Kobold (Ricki) about the safe.
Kamau interposes and the spider finishes the bugbear off.
No real need to interpose at the moment. The bugbear will only attack an unloyal pet, so Kamau’s action elsewhere is more valuable.
TNIM’ s comment got lodged into the system. So I am editing mine to match his so people can vote for it. It is the same plan, anyway.
Okay, shame about losing the turn because the rusty dagger dropped even though the group wasn’t cleared, but let’s keep moving.
Ricki: Ask the questions we planned last turn. To repeat the info we want to ask/transmit:
We want Ricki to tell the kobold that we’ve cleared out the red gang and are nearly finished clearing the blues (might even be done now!) but there are still some monsters on the top floor of the room above.
We want Ricki to ask the Kobold whether he knows anything about a safe in his old house and how to open it if so. We’re worried that a blue ring that belongs to the ringsmif is in the safe and would like to get into it to check for it.
If we can only do one of the above, we would rather ask about the safe.
After asking/telling the above, Ricki then goes back up to the red’s base and helps Kamau dodge pressure plates. She then fills him in on what she learned about the safe. If she didn’t learn the combination or doesn’t think she can open it on her own, she asks Kamau to come help her with it. Pick up a lockpick while in the red base, and assuming the wall moves out of the way, head over to the safe.
Kamau: Move over to the red base. Wait for Ricki to guide you through the pressure plates and if Ricki tells you she isn’t sure how to open the safe and/or might need your help, go along with her to help with the safe. If she tells you she knows the combination and doesn’t need you to come along, go bash the rat on the chest with your longsword. Avoid aggroing the owlbear if possible. If you poke your head up and it seems like you can’t fight the rats without upsetting the owlbear, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dmg from the angry owlbear and rats. Retreat to the main level of the red base and await further instructions.
Lara: Pull the lever once Kamau is safely on the next screen.
Spider: Finish off the bugbear (pleaseeeee).
In addition
Kamau (before all else): leave the Meat and take the magic lens with you.
(All enemies we might want to use the lens on are in this are – better to have it here already)
