Dungeon 2 Turn 38
————
Kamau finally knocks out the final drunk in this room. He goes to pick up the torch, but as soon as the drunk falls, the torch lands on the ground and goes out, plunging the room into darkness. Oh well. The group of drunks does drop another empty mug. Kamau leaves it where it is.
Ricki runs back up the ladder, avoiding the glass.
Still nothing new going on up here. Ricki goes back down the ladder again.
Now we can do this
Kamau: Swap potion for…the bucket I guess, (we don’t need to put it on),and interpose for Ricki, then follow her
Ricki: Go give the potion to the unconscious guy
Yes, but additionally: 1. Ricki, mind the broken glass! 2. Kamau does not attack the snale, thus wearing the bucket gives no penalty here, but additional defense, thus wear the bucket. 3. Kamau has a burning torch in his inventory (yes, I know, but this is fantasy!), thus they could light up the room, but let’s try to pass the snale in darkness, so as to test the theory, that “no see = no attack”.
The bucket has a 10% break chance, and Kamau has enough defense to soak a hit without it. No wearing bucket.
I’m also curious if Kamau still gets drunk if he doesn’t lose any HP on a turn with snale attack.
And one more thing: Whoever has a free hand should try to collect some snale acid in a mug while passing under the hole.
Time to MacGuyver a way to light a torch.
Can glass be avoided if there is no light?
Ricky sees the glass with no problems, and can point it out to Kamau, like mouse traps before, so I suppose that “yes, easily” as long as Ricky is the group’s eyes.
