Dungeon 18 Turn 21 Part 2
————

“This is a werewolf you’re talking about, right?”
“Correct.”
“That’s not the sort of enemy we kill, Amadeusz. Even if they’re a mindless monster now, they’re a person the rest of the time, right?”
“And YOUR wolf is pretty reasonable, for that matter.”
“This wolf is not like mine. You see the lengths he goes through to contain it, to lock it away to the best of his ability.”
“The wolf rages against that sort of treatment. They require respect and trust in order to be brought into line with your human self.”
“This wolf has known no such kindness, and is completely feral. In fact, this werewolf is so out of balance that the process runs in reverse, with the human becoming ravenous and violent. In his own way.”
“He will get worse over time.”
“So you think it’s right to just… get rid of him?”
“To rid the world of him, yes.”
“This man is past deserving your sympathy, and I of all people am in a position to speak authoritatively to that point.”
“This man…”

“He is the Emperor.”
“He is also my son.”

….i dont believe it.
It’s a bait to get Ricki to kill it. >_>
“He is also my son.” Should that not be “I am
yourhis father.”? And the Emperor is older than a regular human (or wolf). If all that is correct, Amad would be even older. Where is the truth spell when you need it?There is a slight, very slight, chance that “He is the Emperor” doesn’t mean the emperor of the empire we live in and Ricky kinda battles with. Might be “The Emperor of the werewolves underground society, of course. What else did you think I meant?” because lol.
But it’s “Emperor” capital E, so far it was reserved for the former, so I guess that’s it.
Damn. What if Ricky with her doggo-affinity actually befriended and tamed this WhiteEmperorWerewolf. What a pet! Imagine Amad’s face. Imagine PetMaster’s face!
There’s no way we’re seeing the final boss this early without the rest of the party. Something is going to go very wrong here.
…or there’s something much, much worse than the Emperor pulling the strings from the shadows.
Wow. What a plot twist! I totally didn’t see that coming and I love it 😀
I see this almost on the edge of credibiity, but – I believe that. Amad so far has not lied on anything. Hid facts, yeah. Lied – no. And he was resourceful/hadrelations/beenshady/etc enough for all of it to actually work. This pretty much explains both his knowledge, and (since he isnt Emperor himself) also why he had some limitations and had to work in cover.
Also, we know the Emperor wanted power and was aiming to be god-of-sun (or sth), here the wolf is white and dungeon is light/sun-themed. Craving for power also seems to align well with Amad’s description of his current state – there’s no point in returning to human form. Also, from other sources we’ve heard the Emperor drifted into violence (although no direct word on madness so far – but I guess ppl would rather save their heads, rather than try walking and announcing Emperor is mad)
Also, we know the Emperor doesn’t really show up to public (guess why xD) so everything can be running on “auto mode” either by sole beaucracy and occasional extra steering from the shadows by other high-standing parties (like Amad).
The more I think about it and try to find anything more I we’ve heard, it just fits.
If this is true then the Emperor we’ve seen in flashbacks must either be a body double of some sorts, or he’s rapidly degraded since Kamau met him.
Or, what if the mortal Emperor and the divine Emperor are actually separate beings?
