Dungeon 18 Turn 21 part 1
————

Ricki attempts to block an attack from the enforcer, taking 2 damage from the strain. He’s strong! She struggles to hold off the inevitable…

Fortunately Amadeusz bursts through the door at just the right moment. The enforcer’s counterattack deals 1 damage, but the opening is all Ricki needs.

She lands a decisive blow, and the enforcer falls.
Finally, the sounds of combat cease to ring out through the dungeon. For now.

“Thanks for the save. I think we have a little time to catch out breath if we lock that door behind us.”
“Understood. Thank you for guiding us this far, Ricki.”
“Sure. I’d kind of like to know what it was all for, though. Can you tell me yet?”
“I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just about beating up this guy. All he’s got is a couple of rings.”
“You’re right, of course. That this man’s defeat was incidental, and also that you are past due for an explanation.”
“We are here for someone else.”

“He’s right above us. I’m sure you can see him.“
“I’ve been able to smell him since we entered the city. And him me, I’m sure.”
“I must warn you, Ricki. Though I respect your ideology…”
“I will not be able to merely leave this one unconscious in the corner.”

Never not amazed by the art in pages like this.
Oh crap. Are we really going to have a fight with huge white doggo? Right in front of our …
Hmmm… Amad doesn’t say he’s going to kill it. Maybe take control or possess it somehow?
Wait, is Amadeusz talking about the enforcer or the big wolfy creature, when he says he can’t leave them unconscious in the corner?
Gotta be Wolfie. I think.
I’m just amazed we took out the enforcer in one turn! While he was wearing a gold ring of evasion! Hope we still have some luck left for next turn.
Wolfie gets a -1 debuff from pack leader at least…
