Dungeon 18 Turn 11
————

Ricki hurries back up the ladder ahead of the guard patrol, then unscrews another chandelier as they appear under it, dealing minor damage to all four of them.

Amadeusz thinks, in detail, about what is waiting for him on the top floor, and what will need to be done.

I’m not going to lie, I’m starting to get paranoid here.
That justicar is pointing at the wall. I think he knows Ricki is in there. Maybe he’ll send in a dog patrol to flush her out or break a wall or something.
I really want us to push to end this.
I think that isnjust a reaction to the chandelier dropping. The Justiciar has no shield.
I thought that too at first, but I think if the justiciar was really pointing, LSN would have noted it in the text. I think Darus is right, the justiciar is just throwing up an arm to block flying chandelier bits.
Edit: That said, I agree that dragging things out here is nerve-wracking. The plan Kat posted last turn assumes the next patrol won’t show up until T20, but I wouldn’t count on that.
yee can’t be 100% sure, that’s why I posted my other plan last turn.
Last bond dungeon had a patrolling enemy enter T10 and LSN said on stream T15 had nothing so can only hoping this works the same now
I also don’t want to die
but like look at all those posters!
were definitely not beating that thing
I was worried about that too but someone pointed out the posters’ effects don’t stack, so it’s not as bad as it looks. And actually, since they’re anti-wolf posters they’re probably weakening the big wolf, whereas Amad is safe as long as he stays human.
Justicar actually MAY be pointing left – ordering the team to destroy the barrier to get to the chest&level (for some reason).
Just noticed that this patrol has elite guards, not the regular ones we lensed already. That means it will probably take more than 3 chandeliers to take them out
Dropping my math notes here for reference:
chandelier is 3 unblockable
dirge is 1 unblockable
elite guards are 10-11 hp based on previous elites we fought
So if they take 2 chandeliers+1 dirge, they should have 3-4 hp left after entering third room.
Third chandelier could be buffed with a fire elemental seal as someone pointed out, or another dirge to add up to 4
Won’t they get three chandeliers dropped on them before they even enter the third room? They’ve already been hit with one, #2 is on the way to the 2nd solar and #3 is above it.
I’m paranoid about the rightmost chandelier timing if patrol dont stop under it cuz Ricki can’t see the room during the moment she drop the chandelier.
If they stop under it yee that’s 3 but if they don’t to directly melee solar, the only known position in room 2 is at the solar.
I think that for the chandelier near Amad, if Amad *in this turn* opened the wall (and risk getting shot), so he starts next turn with wall-open. Patrol can see him and try to engage – Amad could close the wall “last second” for the adrenaline kick, allowing Ricky to drop that chandelier on them as the wall closes (and either he, or one of the guards gets shot).
Then, guards probably will go for the sunhead – but with Justicar this is not sure, as he may pursue to destroy the door and attack Amad.
It sounds possible, but has soooo many ways to go wrong, that I think it’s not worth the risk. Also, Amad ended this turn with door closed, so it’s moot anyways.
Reeaaally hoping what needs to be done is just reaching the white beast room. >.<
It massacred tons of goblins according to the intermission page someone linked before so im paranoid it could be another fight if amad is here for the fancy sword like how lara needed to beat the guardian drider when she was at her bond dungeon for the lighter.
I *hope* this sword is easily reachable by Amad and that it’s sole purpose (aside from looking awesome) is to be a remote-control for the beast with collar.
Why?
Because, heck, why keep this sword near the beast? Emergency kill device +20 vs white beasts + protection from white?
I think it’s remote-control because it has 3 buttons. I bet they are: engage-enemies, come-back, and roll-like-a-good-doggo
Plan: bonk the patrol again and setup the third bonk
Amad: Dirge to hurt dire rats
Ricki: Go in front of hole. When the elite guards stop, enter hole to drop whichever chandelier that’s on top of where elite guards stopped. Then move back using hole to watch results.
I think elites will stop at solar to attack, but just in case patrol dont engage in melee right away to take a turn of pre-buffing when seeing solar on top floor.
Dire rats should be at 1hp after this so one more makes top chandelier safe to access.
Rough draft idea for next turn is Ricki can block the door for next patrol with lever while amad kills the dire rats as patrol enter third room.
