Dungeon 16 Turn 47
————

First and foremost, the party and remaining corn knights work together to consolidate all of the loose corn into neat piles, because nobody wants to step on one of those things and slip off the clouds to their tragic and hilarious death.
Although the two remaining corn knights (in this area at least) appear to be listless and lacking hostility with the loss of their general, Kamau continues to watch them closely, and Ix calls a new corn knight to back his team up. Botanya attempts to talk to the enemies, but it seems they aren’t responsive. It may be best to just be grateful they aren’t still attacking.
Ricki wolfs down the entire cauliflailer. It tastes… fine. Could use some butter or melted cheese or something. Her HP permanently increases by 1. Afterwards she runs to the right, remembering there is an unexplored path that way.
Princess starts eyeing Golly in a concerning way.

After passing through a now-empty room, Ricki reaches a far corner of the sky dungeon. Looks like a precarious area, easy to get trapped in if she’s not careful.

mwaaaaahahahahahahhaahahhaahahhaha I commented first
wait… what the frick, there’s another room 😯
plan:dont die
everyone except ricki and Kamau go up ladder and do stuff
Ricki and Kamau Ricki loots chest while Kamau protects her or they both kill them before they can deal any damage
Plan: We’re done here.
Ricki: Move right. Pick up heavy Shield. Move right again. Leave the dungeon
Kamau: Interpose Knights. Leave dungeon afterwards
Everyone else: leave the dungeon.
I just want this to be done so I can sleep at night.
Ricki needs to move left, not right. (I confused that yesterday – is that contagious?!) And we can get something more while still leaving at turn 49.
Holy crap, this room looks awful. I am sooo happy we do not need to fight that one. I agree with description, a couple of bad moves and we’d lose a cloud and we’d be stuck. Or if that Pea decided to shoot a cloud under our feet. The way up via ladder seems safe-ish, but heck, no. I’m happy my suggested move was chosen, but now I am all for GTFO’ing 😀
Kamau: Give your parachute to one of the Harvest Corn knights as a peace offering. (And also in preparation of acquiring corn next turn.) If they’re not interested, drop it anyways in case they change their mind.
Botanya: Do what Kamau did with the other Harvest Corn knight. (Same reasoning.) Maybe try and communicate that the castle and the flower are both going to fall down and that they probably don’t want to be here, while you’re at it. Like Kamau, drop your parachute near them if they don’t seem to grasp what you’re getting at.
Ix: Stand really, really close to a pile of corn and see if your ambient temperature is enough to pop it.
Ricki: Move back to the flower, grabbing that Heavy Shield along the way and ditching your Thieves’ Tools.
Next turn: Kamau, Botanya, and Ricki pick up enough corn to fill any remaining slots in their inventory, then end the Dungeon.
Reasoning: The parachute flowers will end up wilting at the end of the dungeon anyways, so there’s no reason to keep them if we’re not going to use them. The corn is worth picking up too if we have spare inventory; that’s five gold pieces per stack, that is.
Plus: it might be special corn since it came from the general, and for all we know it’s worth TWO gold per corn. We should pick some up to check! (Even if it’s not, if we have room we might as take some since it’s still money.)
Also, I really want a panel of the Corn Knights baling out of the clouds like paratroopers using the Flower Parachutes and now you do too. For that matter, loading up on corn would probably get us a panel of everyone at the manor feasting on it, and doesn’t that sound swell?
Giving the parachutes (for use on turn 50) is a nice idea! I incorporated it in my post.
But ditching theives tools (5GP) for corn (5GP) is a loss, because we would sell the corn for 5/2 =2.5, rounded down 2 GP to buy another set of tools (for 5 GP) for the next dungeon.
Corn is treasure and treasure isn’t sold for half price.
Ricki: Go left one room, pick up one sword, go further left (to the big flower)
Botanya: Drop flower parachute. Go right one room. Put Towershield on Golly in exchange for Staff of gravity. Pick up heavy shield (25 GP), put it on Golly in exchange for Sunstone. Pick up one sword.
Kamau: Interpose.
Next turn after that (49):
Botanya: Go left (to big flower), action move down!
Ix: Tell summoned corn knight to pass spear to Kamau.
Kamau: Give flower (will wilt anyway) to summoned corn knight, accept corn spear from summoned corn knight.
Ricki: Pick up corn from floor.
And then everybody climb down on turn 49!
That should get us another
Longsword 6 GP, Longsword 6 GP, Heavy shield 25 GP, corn spear 12 GP, corn 5 GP
= 54 GP.
Ix doesn’t have a Parachute Flower in his inventory, so he can’t trade it for the Corn Spear from his summoned knight. (He wouldn’t have a free space from trading the flower to get the spear.)
Right – we did not free the last flytrap! Thanks and corrected.
Hey.. actually.. since we haven’t freed those final flytrap(s), I wonder, will Botanya’s ‘fired up’ count when we finish the dungeon, or not?
Well, we got that corn general who imprisoned them, and the freed ones will wilt now, so I hope that it counts.
Plan: CORN CORN CORN CORN CORN CORN CORN CORN
Ricki: Ricki head left, then left again. Ditch your Thieves’ Tools. Trade your Magma Shield to Botanya for her Life Robes. Pick up Pick up 20 Corn. Exit the dungeon.
Kamau: Ditch your Gardening Gloves and Flower. Trade your Salveshell to Botanya for the Gravity Staff. Pick up 25 fucking corn you mad man. Exit the dungeon.
Ix: Trade your Fullhelm to Botanya for the Rabbit Paw. Pick up 5 corn. Exit the dungeon.
Botanya: Do those trades above. Trade your Tower Shield to Golly for the Sunstone. Pick up 5 corn. Jump off the edge with your flower weeeeee~

Corn Knights seem chill. They probably wont attack us after we minimize our defense right? Right?
If this remorses kamau…
Better, it could KILL Kamau! 😀
Can we trade and pick up on the same turn?
lol xD
