Dungeon 12 Turn 50
————
Lara attacks and destroys the last blowfish, using her mushroom as bait. She gets 1 damage and a new mushroom for her trouble.
Ricki opens up the chest and finds an atlatl, which she drops her greaves to pick up. If you don’t know what an atlatl is, look it up. It’s cool!
Amadeusz moves to the left and eats another steak. The 3 HP recovered helps offset the 1 point of drowning damage.
Cordy returns to the upper room and absorbs one of their mushroom pets, recovering 1 HP.
Looks like the egg sacs have regrown again, even on the highest level of the dungeon.
“Are those strangers still down the well?”
“Yep.”
“So we don’t know if they figured out what was causing the poison yet?”
“Nope.”
“Huh. Well I hope they figure it out. I sure would like to know how all this mess got started.”
“Anyway, I’m just here to get rid of my weekly bucket of rotten fish.”
“Don’t let me stop you.”

ATLATL
Tool
While carrying this item, thrown spears and similar weapons deal +2 damage.
Weight 1, Cost 10
Given that we don’t know how many or where they are in the dungeon makes moving multiple rooms dangerous. Not only that, we’ll be taking drowning dmg anytime we fight them away from air.
Can we please just clear the sources now and end this. Full Clear was a bad idea
Weekly supply. I hope this bucket was small. Most probably, they will be located along the shaft, since they are falling from above. That’s unfortunate. Out of 4 possibly-infested shaft rooms, we can walk around only the topmost one, so at least three shaft-rooms of skelefish to pass through :/
…unless we manage to destroy all the sources without moving too much. Cordy can clear this one. Ricky/Lara can take care of the bottom one.
That leaves layer 2 and layer 3 sacks. And maybe some nasty surprise in boss’ room. But I doubt.
Weekly supply. I hope this was just one bucket. We might be getting another bucket every X turns now.
Plan: Finish asap
I am also assuming we dont have the resources to clear the patrol. So no full clear.
Cordy: Eat another shroom. Move down after
Ricki: destroy source. get air
Lara: Move right. get healed. move up.
Amad: Mend Lara. Move up
It was pointed out that there is now a skull by the upper source. so new enemies in new places. We have to be careful and scout ahead to avoid running into anything.
We’re going to have to move 1 screen at a time to avoid what we’re assuming is a patrol of skelefish. Here’s a summary of what we know about patrols:
Will move to an unexplored (havent visited) room if possible. If not, will use an extra move to reach one.
Will attack anything they see upon entry (Line of sight), unless they double moved.
Before moving to the next room, will check the current room for targets
Assuming they start in the bucket room, they should be in the first puffer room next. After that they could go to Cordy’s room, the Petmaster room or central shaft Skelefish room (1 room above skellies).
Next turn Amad and Lara can cautiously check the 2 left source rooms and clear them.
It is also possible that this isnt a patrol, but just more fish around the central shaft/left side rooms. Hence moving only 1 room to scout first.
Should we leave the discussions about Level-ups till AFTER we exit?
Yeah. Don’t jinx it xD
Usually after we’ve got the ending scene panel LSN posts the level up options for all 4 chars at the same time. That’s usually the best place to post discussions.
If Ricki doesn’t need the oxymoss (which is a big IF) we should grab the Greaves again.
This place really puts the DUNG in Dungeon.
I’m guessing there’s no source in the boss room anymore or it probably would have been mentioned as Amadeusz moved left. Still, this is really bad. Greed is a DEADLY sin for a reason, you guys.
Best case scenario, we’ve just had three undead swarmfish added into the dungeon. Worst case scenario, and there are more than the three pictured in play. Either way, they’re most likely roaming around in the water now, which is very very bad.
Anyways, here’s my plan:
Ricki: Destroy the source. Double move right to the boss room, drop oxymoss, end turn in treasure area. Ricki should take a point of damage from destroying the source.
Lara: Double move right with Ricki, drop poison robe, pick up and eat the steak that Amadeusz is going to drop, then end turn in treasure area.
Amadeusz: Move back to the boss room’s treasure area, turn back into a human. Drop steak and wand of mend.
Cordy: Have one of your pets attack the skull, destroy the respawned source in the room you’re in, then head down.
The turn after that, Ricki is going to pick up the wand and Amadeusz is going to pick up the Oxymoss and robe, then they’re going to start destroying the sources that have respawned. Amadeusz is going to wield the fishing rod and possibly play music instead of dual-wielding his instruments for the DEF bonus. Ricki can act as the healer for right now, and should use the wand of mend whenever she has a free action to counteract any damage she takes. Lara, hopefully, can eat the steak and get some healing as a carnivorous drider. Cordy is going to try and move to regroup/get eyes on the swarmfish/destroy poison sources. He’s the most expendable member of the group since we have large mushrooms waiting in the wings and we’re not likely to take him to the next dungeon; he’d miss out on a level up if he does die, but oh well.
Oh, and we should ignore the skeletons because trying to 100% clear this dungeon was a bad idea to begin with and they’re basically harmless at this point.
Lara cannot pickup and eat the meat the same turn Amad drops it. That counts as a trade between the two so Amad would lose his action.
Also, Keep in mind that Amad cannot see in the dark so has a miss-chance.
Lara can’t eat the meat so this plan wouldn’t work so well. Also can’t pick up same turn that something is dropped, that’s what trading is for.
I think seeing that patroling fish group is THE priority. We’re doomed if it surprise us while we clear the layer 2 or 3 source. >.<
This plan set up positions so we can have safe eyes on all 3 possible rooms they could enter on turn 52:
-Cordy can pop source and move down to see the right from dry land
-Lara can pop source and move up to see the left from pet master room
-Amad can spend most of his turn eating meat hiding in the left shaft tunnel to see if they come downward before getting air on the right
Also checking out the poison bucket. A gland’s worth of poison cost 2-10, this is a whole bucketful! Maybe it will sell for a lot? Or act as a re-usable poison gland? Or maybe Lara can use it as an improvised shield by keeping 1 arm dipped in it for resistance? Or pour it down the emperor as a power move if we kept it all the way. The possibilities are endless ^_^!
Cordy’s mushie: Attack the skull crab to trigger its ambush on you and distract it. Explode to make a new mushie from dead crab.
Cordy: Finish the crab off.
Amad: Mend Lara. Move up. End in the left tunnel, out of sight from the upper entrance.
Lara: Unequip siegesword(17 DEF underwater!). Move right. Move up. Move left to end in air pocket.
Ricki: Drop atlatl next to greaves. Move right to loot poison bucket. End in the upper tunnel.
The dangerous thing is that we can’t see if there are any new enemies between us and the other sources. Having Lara move so much puts her at risk of just wandering into an unknown danger
She has lots of def and save her drowning protection this way. Even if a crab spawned there too, its still better than drowning and having to deal with the crab after anyway.
Moving 4 rooms is 12 dmg. Skellies is 4 so that leaves 3 and 3 hp for any skelefish. Here’s hoping nothing’s there
I think that villager counts as an enemy now. If we’re clearing the dungeon we can’t forget about him.
How did THIS get a like?I fail to see what’s so funny about this.
What do you mean funny? This is something that we actually need to consider. Stay focused champ.
