Dungeon 12 Turn 38
————
Amadeusz returns from the well’s bottom for air. He wonders why there’s another helmet sitting around.
Ricki manages to shake off the paralysis! She can act next turn. The ghoul seems to know exactly what’s coming.
Lara swims over to a previous room after leaving her helmet behind. She may be a horrific sin against nature now, but at least her elven heritage still prevents her from getting helmet hair.
Cordy finishes off the injured swarmfish skeleton and raises a new mushroom out of its bones. They can send it to Lara or Amadeusz, or they can keep it.
Seems the blue chest has had its condition fulfilled.
Thanks, Perth! 🙂

Ouch.I’ve got to use that more often in my vocabulary!
It’s basically calling someone “Internet Explorer as a person”!
Unrelated but:
My Opera browser frpze while I was on TopWebcomics =( .I was just scrolling & opening up new tabs with right-click,A pop-up said I’m running out of memory,I was going through them & clicking on Xs…but suddenly while I was switching between a Kickstarter & a Webtoon,Opera stopped responding. When I clicked again it just whited-out the screen.I don’t want to lose all those tabs by just hitting the red X in the top-right,wtf do I do?
Many browsers already have some built-in crash recovery. For example, Chrome, Firefox and Edge remember (or try to remember) what windows and tabs were open when they crashed. Upon starting them again, they will display a small popup with question like “do you want to open tabs from previous session” etc. If Opera has it, then just use it.
(…) snip ->

Why so many tabs – organizing tabs and sessions takes time. When I switch between tasks, or grep the internet for knowledge&fun, it’s easier for me to just move tabs around windows, adhoc, as seems logical at that time, and to leave those windows aside, rather than to catalogue/bookmark/etc in some browser’s bookmarks bar/folder/etc. Sorting them takes time. SB does that for me automatically. And TMS swipes the memory whenever I sidetrack to another rabbit hole.
…but that’s all in Chrome. I have no idea re Opera, Brave, etc. I can only guess those may similar features built-in, or maybe as in Chrome, maybe similar extensions exist. Hth & Ymmv as usual 🙂
Options:
– Have less tabs open at a time
– Have a browser that remembers what tabs you had open when you close it.
– Accept that you’ll lose tabs
I’m a real bibliophile.Tvtropes even has a pagrle for “wikiwalk”.I just read too much.
Cordy: Send the new mushie to Lara. Sting the other fish to work on a second.
Lara: Go up on the right side and loot the puzzle chest. Head back down after and end turn on the left platform.
Ama: Heal yourself with the wand of mend. Leave it in the pile after.
Ricki: Attack the remaining ghoul.
Ricki Mushie: Attack the remaining ghoul.
Ghoul: Die, but if you somehow don’t die at least don’t paralyze Ricki again.
Ghoul:regret everything you’ve done for the past 10 Turns.
Why send mushie to Ama instead of Lara or Cordy? He does not get a buff from mushies unlike everyone else.
I forgot that haha 😀 I am not a clever man.
Now you know how I feel like around here.
As long as you take it with humor, it’s still fun 🙂
I partially take it with humor.Being called stupid can still hurt.I am also mad at myself because WOW how do I suck this much suddenly?I guess it’s because all the info is spread across 3 pages instead of hovering above characters, because I was damn good at strategy Flash games as a kid!
Lara: Head up the right side of the room, loot the Puzzle Chest, then head back down.
Cordy: Sting the remaining Skelefish.
Amadeusz: Pick up the Mending Wand and mend yourself with it.
Ricki & Shroom#16: Destroy the Ghoul.
Ghoul: Die, Ghoul! Die screaming!
New Shroom#29: Go to Lara.
Ama will be at 3HP, do you intend him to keep the wand for another/last healing next turn?
(I edited to cleanup grammar, and forgot to add another sentence: )
Then we could drop the want i.e. at the shaft ledge to the right, so any passers-by could make use of it without the need to go left (think: someone with diving helmet or oxymoss) to save mov/action/turns. If someone goes left for air, there’s no difference for them, they can grab the wand as they on their way.
I feel like Cordy should Mend himself twice, then absorb a pet to be up to 4HP.
Get ready,Turn 40 is coming,& it might suck.
Im worried as well. Something could surprise us if he’s in the water on t40.
What’s the plan going forward?I apparently can’t strazegise with all the info spread across 3 pages. Is killing Gigacrab important to finishing the dungeon,& who’s going to do it?
The objective is killing the source of the poison. We’re not sure but that’s probably the crab since the room sources are eggs.
Maybe it’s both crab and eggs.
With the water helm and the oxymoss from frog, we have a chance to kill crab. Really depends on turn 40 and what happens then
Who should go for the kill?Lara or WereAmy?
Probably both. The way defense works, 2 people attacking at once is far more valuable than 2 attacking on separate turns or one person attacking twice.
We could have him head back to the entry room. There are fish there he can sting from dry land.

You can DELETE your comments?
….Why fid you do it?
No, we used to be able to delete them, but it is no longer available. I just edited that comment and changed the text to “-deleted-“. I wrote some nonsense, because I’ve read your message wrong, but I noticed only after posting it. No point in leaving it and adding confusion/etc.
Ricki! Don’t move! There’s a wasp on your neck. Let the ghoul kill it.
The Minishroom can handle the wasp.
Alternate plan: If we don’t want Cordy in water in turn 40, in case whatever the twist is is enough to kill him.
Cordy: Send the new mushie to Lara. Go down, then up near the puzzle chest.
Next turn: Cordy head to the entrance hall to sting fishies there.
Can we confirm if Gigacrab is a source? If you compare the thing on its back to the Barnacles, you see that it’s not actively “spewing”,no darker-coloured stream coming out of it.
That is a good point! I didn’t think about that.
Still, independent of what we’ve seen so far, turn 40 usually has something that hasn’t been hinted at so far, that makes things a lot harder.
That wasn’t the case in the Kobold Warrens.Things went pear-shaped at T28.
How do we solve this? The Mend Wand gives infinite healing, but some characters might take more damage than they have HP (Remember Lara).
Can we find a Lense anywhere?
In the Kobold Warrens there was an event trigger (giving the ring to Mac). There probably also would have been a time trigger, but we were too fast for it
Wand use each turn will help.
Lens: We can sacrifice all our treasure for the dungeon and our Paws paw and a turn in the crab room for 1 lens. Alternatively, we can go in blind. Double alternatively, we can skip him.
I’m against the first option.
Hey, nice one! I considered if the thing on the back can be separate entity, that we could destroy, but if it’s noticeably different, then probably it’s a part of the crab.
Yey.
Are we planning on dueling the Petmaster before taking on the bottom-most source(s)?
No, despite our shitposting we have no way to viably beat him.
Can we not use 4 minishrooms to curbstomp the Beaver with a bandana?
