Dungeon 12 Turn 26
————
The entire party works together to destroy the skeletitan. This thing isn’t a boss anymore, just a regular bad guy, so there’s no cool fight scene or anything. They just roll over it.
Cordy’s use of the wand of venomous sting and rotfang hood allows another little mushroom to be created, which puts them back up to max pets.
Everyone resurfaces for air.
Look at all that pretty blue water
Plan: Skelefish
Amad: Move Right Kill Skelefish 1
Cordy: Move Right Kill Skelefish 2
Lara: Leave the meat outside the water for later. Move Right Kill Skelefish 3
Ricki: Move Right Kill Skelefish 4
Amad’s Shroom: attack Skelefish 5
One of Cordy’s Shroom: Attack Skelefish 6
Hopefully the last big engagement we need to do. This splits the attacks so Cordy is at no risk of getting hit for 7.
Amad is taking 3 from the mushroom deaths and drowning.
Everyone else just drowns.
Next turn: Since Amad has meat he can eat, he’s the one we’ll be using to do most stuff like scouting the room and maybe finishing off the skelefish.
Did we go into the room on the right yet? If not, I seem to remember that the turn will end for our party members there.
We have seen it. Cordy scouted it on Turn 14. Its a shaft with 6 Skeletal Fish and nothing else.
With a turn of preparation those with 2 Move could come at the room to the right from the other direction (from above it). If the party enters the room from two different directions on Turn 28 that may help split the skelefish into 2 groups. It also gives some recon of the cleared rooms and Turn 27 to pick up the harpoon, trade a few items, and eat meat or mushrooms for healing.
Since Amad can dual wield, can he split attacks to attack 2 skeletal swarmfish?
Amad can gain atk from 2 weapons but can still only make 1 attack
Shouldn’t we check the room with egg sack on the isolated pool? It might have respawned too on turn 20.
It is possible I guess. Although dungeon goal says “some” not “all” of your progress is undone
I was thinking about the secret chest
Alternate skelliefish plan – costs 1 extra shroom, but saves Ama 2 damage from shroom explosions unless they proc before he can move.
Amad: Move right one and double move to explore down
Cordy: Move Right Kill Skelefish 1
Lara: Leave the meat outside the water for later. Move Right Kill Skelefish 2
Ricki: Move Right Kill Skelefish 3
Lara’s Shroom: attack Skelefish 4
One of Cordy’s Shroom: Attack Skelefish 5
Another Cordy shroom: attack Skelefish 6
Burning Cordy’s shrooms – we can have him stay up here attempting the puzzle chest and finishing off the last Skelefish for shrooms while everyone else does the last room.
For what it’s worth, we can kill all the skelefish in one turn and still leave Cordy with three shrooms, although Amad would still take 3 damage.
Amad: Move Right Kill Skelefish 1
Cordy: Move Right Kill Skelefish 2
Lara: Leave the meat outside the water for later. Move Right Kill Skelefish 3
Ricki: Move Right Kill Skelefish 4
Amad’s, Lara’s & Ricki’s Shrooms: Move Right Kill Skelefish 5 (one shroom dies)
Three of Cordy’s Shrooms: Move Right Kill Skelefish 6 (one shroom dies)
Admittedly, this plan would be more useful if we’d already seen the rooms below and knew what we wanted to do there on the following turn. But I still like the idea of getting the swarm over with and moving forward.
The shrooms that attack will take drowning damage and die, most likely. So this would be almost all shrooms gone and 7 unblockable damage to Ama when drowning is accounted for
Edit: Nevermind, forgot shrooms have 2 health. Still does mean they are damaged.
Mushies have 0 attack because of debuff when in water.
Oh awesome. Knew I had to be missing something. Carry on then.
Damn we look cool all standing together like that. We should start a band. Amadeusz already has instruments. He should pay that dirge song right now to try and teach his friends how to play.
