Dungeon 11 Turn 6
————
Kamau continues to Interpose, taking another 2 damage, while Ricki and Amadeusz knock out one of the guards and the pets take down the one that’s already injured. Only the elite remains.
Macadamia scampers past in the confusion of battle.
He finds nothing but a locked door, which is effectively another dead end.
Oh look at the cute rust monster! Let’s give it all the loot we find in the whole dungeon
All the Imperial loot, certainly.
That’s actually not a terrible idea
Considering imperial equipment is unsellable and has no gold value, it doesn’t help reaching to 100gp target and prevents any smart enemies from picking and using them against us. Good idea.
But it will use our time to move things around (40 turns isn’t that much, we already had close calls) AND we dont know yet what is needed to make a bomb. And we need three. What if metal is needed? Then we might need scrao swords. What if a pot is needed (to fill with explosives)? Then we might need some helmets..
Ricki: attack the remaining guard
Kamau: attack guard
Ama: punch guard with your bare unclawed hands
Mac: read a note above the fight
Loot distribution:
Plate -> Ama (drop mend, rope)
Leather, shield -> Kamau (for impersonation)
shield, sword x3 -> floor (Mac gets it next turn)
Heavy shield, leather, anything else they drop -> Ricki
Pass a cake to Kamau if its something we can do freely. Drop it otherwise
This brings Ricki and Ama in fighting shape so they can help Kamau with vermin or golems. Kamau takes a shield for interpose.
Ricki and Kamau each take one armor to try controlling a golem. Would be much more convenient if it works on Ricki, but Kamau gets one in case it does not work out.
Did we consider a possibility that those those flags/carpets/banners/etc with apparently-imperial-insignia on the wall have some function? i.e. could they be taken off or burnt?
I think that so far all of them actually were accessible more or less easily. Even this one behind chandelier – we know we could walk on it.
I wonder if destroying or taking them off could have some effect. Like, weakening guards a bit. Or confusing the golems. Or maybe, do they have monetary value? It’s empire-item, but it is NOT a weapon. Someone might want a golden rug, right?
This one here is placed very suspiciously. Right behind a wall that we could/should explode or burn through. I am VERY curious if our explosive would damage the banner as well.
The fact that the hole in the wall shows through the insignia makes me think they’re actually painted on the wall. At the same general place in each room, seems to be, possibly occurring that way due to dungeon magic… ahem.
What we might be able to do is fool the golems by wearing said insignia. (Which is the locked-on targeting cursor from old video games, in my opinion.)
Slight tweak on Nekpot’s plan. Apologies if this is a duplicate. idea is to have Mac present in fight so he gets a free action looting so he can smif.
Ricki: attack the remaining guard
Kamau: interpose
Ama: attack
Mac: move down. Loot the battle (Free) and smif a longsword into an attack ring. Give to ricki if you can.
Pets: Attack guard

Plate -> Ama (drop mend, rope)
Leather, shield -> Kamau (for impersonation)
shield, sword x3 -> Mac
Heavy shield, leather, anything else they drop -> Ricki

Why not attack the guard properly with siegesword?
I thought that is implied as he has it equipped. I’m hesitent to edit as my last post got caught up as spam
I know this has been posted for a week now, but since no one pointed it out (at least here on the comic pages) so far, I wanted to say that the ladder left of the rust creature is trapped. The topmost rung is different and the is a pressure tile on the floor.
