Dungeon 11 Turn 2
————
The party rushes towards Mac’s squeak of terror and attacks the giant guard dog. Kamau is able to absorb its bite without being harmed, and between Ricki, Amadeusz, and two pets, the dog quickly collapses.
Macadamia darts through the hole in the wall during the confusion.
Mac is relieved to find nothing threatening on the other side of the hole.
Mac: peak into space bellow and from top of ladder lense the innanimate statue that totally wouldn’t tear you limb from limb given the chance. Then move 2 to entrance room
Ricki: mov to golem room and read note, then move to entrance
Amadeuz: mov to entrance, change Zig and Thrum to instrument form
Kamie: mov to entrance
both Kamau and Amadeuz only have 1 mov. We have to spend turn moving them. The only enemy in their range is the guard group and i hope we all agree wasting thiev’s tools on it when we will find keys later isn’t worth it.
We want to lense the golem to be able to tell if we have any chance of beating it with our small units (only Ricki realistically. Mac is… Mac), or if that part of dungeon is locked for us forever.
I would recommend reading the note FIRST. What if peeking triggers it?
Blowing up the support and walking over its head sounds like a better plan than going toe-to-toe with the giant robot if you ask me
Looking at the map https://bit.ly/dungeon-eyes-map , we might be able to access the room from the right.
Maybe, but we’d still have to get past the robot to get to the interesting rooms underneath where we all are right now.
Holy…
Is that an All Terrain Scout Transport or a successor version of 45?! I.e. can a person get inside and operate it (is one inside?) or does it have some AI inside (is it booted up?)?
Mac drop lens near note, move back through rat hole, get siegesword with Amadeusz, move up
Kamau: move up and right, ending at rat table room
Ricki: go right through rat hole, read note next to it (she will use lens on golem next turn)
Amadeusz: give siegesword to Mac, move up.
This way we take care of inventory management and have a full combat team.
Looks like a non-Imperial tower shield there, which is cost 34.
I8P20 background robot. Same heraldry on its arm as what I’ve been calling “flags”, I’m more confident that’s the Empire symbol.
If it were the Empire symbol, I would think we’d’ve seen it before now. Maybe it’s the symbol of the Empire’s secret robot project?
The argyle symbol can be seen on the flags/wall decoration on the upper levels of this dungeon, and we can see it on every single empire soldier since D1, including the Justiciar in D5T28. I dare say it is also emblazoned on the tower shield, albeit with more forms than we normally see it.
I’m pretty sure thats the Emperor’s symbol or whatever you wanna call it.
Huh, you’re right. I completely missed that – it’s pretty subtle on the guards and justiciar. Thanks for pointing it out! And yeah, definitely the same symbol on the tower shield.
Reminds me of those constructs in WSWFG
