Amadeusz eats the second piece of raw meat, gaining another 3 HP. Cordy uses the wand of mend to restore 1 HP to Lara, who is on her way to an exploratory mission.
At the end of the turn, another egg sac coalesces out of the ambient gunk in the water, once again turning the nearby water poisonous.
Lara proceeds to the bottom of the well and then forces her way past the skeletons. They attack, but do no damage thanks to Lara’s poison-activated defense bonus. One of the rusty swords shatters into dust.
Lara doesn’t find anything in the new room except a long tunnel with a barricade at the end. She loses 1 HP from drowning, negating her earlier healing.
Ricki gets paralyzed yet again, but at least I drew a different panel.
Sigh…
…or maybe each destroyed egg sack has a certain percentage chance of respawning every 10th round, or maybe they just all respawn every 10th round.
At least the room on the bottom left is about as good as we could have hoped for. Breathable air, no unknown opponent types, no hordes of weak opponents nor powerful ones. Just a slog to the egg sack/poison source.
Once we know what is in the bottom right room(s) we should know what it will take to complete this horrible dungeon. There could be another egg sack or other poison source over there, or a boss, or maybe just opponents and treasure. I guess we’ll eventually find out. Maybe as soon as next Turn.
Can Amadeusz still THROW harpoons,even if he can’t use them in melee?It might be safer for him & Lara to just kill the Barnacle from range.
It says he can’t use weapons. There’s a good chance that means throwing harpoons too sadly
A slightly safer and less sarcastic version of Archanalach’s plan:
Lara: Knock down barrier, Move right one and up one. Unfortunately you’ll take a drowning damage, but you can get that Mended later.
Ama: Kill egg sac.
Cordy: Wand of mend yourself.
Ricki: Ganbatte your best.

Do we know how much HP a barricade has?

Someone reminded me poison damage per room exists, so this plan is not as safe as I was thinking. Please don’t vote for it.
A much safer plan (compared to Archanalach’s sarcastic plan above, which was getting popular but currently seems to be hidden because I edited it too much), I prefer this safer plan myself:
Lara: Move right one and up one, and use your action to move left into the air pocket with Cordy and Amadeusz.
Cordy: Mend Lara.
Amadeusz: Pick up the paw and purse.
Ricki: Hope for the best.
Next turn Lara throws her harpoon at the respawned level 3 egg sack while Cordy simultaneously hits it with a Venom Sting, hopefully destroying it from range without taking any damage AND getting a small mushroom. If that isn’t enough to kill it then repeat as soon as Lara can get the other harpoon.
Lara would take 4 rooms of poison movement, the fish and the skeletons. This is not very safe at all…

Things are complicated enough in this dungeon that it is difficult for someone who is new to the mechanics to productivity participate in the Comments, so I will sign off now before I become a nuisance to the experienced players.
Please don’t! Pretty much everyone will forget details sometimes. Your plans are well thought out regardless, and more ideas give us ideas on how to modify our plans to be more optimal.
The reason it seems like some plans are better thought out is because a lot of them are formed in the discord, where you have half a dozen people pointing out flaws and offering suggestions before the plan gets posted.
Lara: Wield your Siegesword and knock down the barricade. Head right one space and end your turn on the wall heading upwards.
Amadeusz: Swim up one room and pop the poison source. End your turn with the Pet Master.
Cordy: Pop the poison source. End your turn above water.

Knocks down the barricade while only dealing 1 damage to Lara (drowning). Other plans either do 2 damage to her, fail to knock down the barricade, or both.
How is Cordy popping the poison source? Melee attack? He’s kinda beat up already.
Theoretically Sting,but it does littlr damage on its own.
We used a 4 damage Harpoon on the source earlier and it didnt do enough damage. The Sting is weaker, so prob won’t do much. Even if it could slowly destroy the poison source, the source is in a super cramped space and we cant really ranged attack it without being near enough to get hit by its intense poison.
It leaves him with 1 HP, but hes got the wand. I guess Amadeusz could take care of both Poison Sources himself but eh.
I feel like Ama taking both poison sources while Cordy either acts as team healer or goes for the puzzle chest would be best.

Note that IF we decide to summon Paws, we can buy a couple of stacks of raw meat (cost 2 each, stack 3), which would improve our healing situation (for Amadeusz in werewolf form) a LOT for very little money. We may want to get eyes on that bottom right room before considering actually doing this, but the idea of being able to have a lot of healing available (for one party member) if we need it fills me with hope.
Does Drider!Lara count as a carnivore for the purposes of the buff?Remember how she BIT an enemy drider after transforming.
Hard to know. We tried feeding meat to a spider once and it didn’t work.
I remember we have seen Lara eating something during an intermission, but I think it was a soup, so no insight re solid food for us..
If we have a turn where we’re not using her action, we can use the action to ask her to think about how she feels about eating raw meat. That often gets a useful response.

I’d get behind this if Cordy wasn’t wasting an action just stinging the egg sac. He could Mend himself instead if we want Amadeusz to break both of them, right?
He’s getting a free mushie, which is basically half of a potion.
A use of mend would be slightly more optimal though since it doesn’t require a second action, I agree. I’ll edit if it lets me do so when I get back to the Internet where I posted this.
In the meantime: LSN, please consider this plan to have Cordy mending himself, instead
Cordy can only create shrooms from organic creatures. The poison sources didn’t take damage from Amadeusz’s Dirge at the start of the dungeon, so they’re likely just dungeon elements. Like a barricade. Or a door. And even if he could get a shroom off it, he’d still take damage from the exploding poison source. The 3rd Layer Polyp is in a very cramped spot and there’s no way for Cordy to get an angle to shoot it without getting in the water.

eeh don’t exaggerate. Cordy could kneel and extend his hand pointing the wand downwards over the edge. Cumbersome, but definitely doable. I’d be more worried whever we can explain that move to Cordy

Winning plan has Lara “quickly poke her head and arm below to sting a bat before retreating back to the puzzle chest level”.
Which resulted in Lara just standing on the ladder to shoot a Bat. We can’t have characters kneel down down for a better angle, crawl under tables to avoid flies, lay flat on their stomachs to shoot an owlbear’s foot, or anything like that.
What armor are the 3 skeletons using?Plate or chain?If we kill them,we MIGHT have something to actually sell to Paws.
It’s rusty either way, so it’s both low value and good chance of breaking when we fight them.

A plan:
Cordy:Use your normal & MOV actions to double sting the Barnacle,have your minishrooms attack it aswell if possible.
WereAmy:Smack the sword-wielding skeleton below you,return to where you were the next turn.
Lara:Use your normal & MOV actions to bust the barricade
Ricki:Hive a Death Glare to one of the ghouls.
I’m going to assume Barnacles only poison 1 floor at a time,so Ricki’s Barnacle won’t poison 3 floors below it.I could be wrong because several people have pointed out I’m stupid (I’m not usually like this!)
Neat idea, but you can’t attack with a move. You can only move with it. You can use your normal action to move, but it doesn’t work the other way
Ama would have to double move to get to the skeleton this turn, which would mean he couldn’t attack. Also that’s a lot of rooms of poison for someone without resistance. Good chance Ama would take a LOT of damage with this plan. Maybe even die.

Guys we’ve been going about this the wrong way. Why are we destroying the egg sacks? Let’s Harvest them and make scrambled eggs.

ROTLF, I’m torn over this. That sounds crazy enough to be doable xD I mean, harvesting. Frying eggs will be harder, as we have no fireplace or even no fire sources at all.. But if we can harvest them, they could actually work/count/etc as poison sacs or something sellable or throwable at enemies. Heey froggy froggy catch! etc
Or because it eating you is more reliable than it catching and eating anything you throw at it, cover yourself in poison before you get eaten by the frog? Dang poison use would go a long way here
