Dungeon 18 Turn 15
————

Ricki climbs the highest crawlspace she’s found and loosens another chandelier, which falls onto the combat below. The solar guardian takes out one of the injured guards, while being taken out itself. One elite guard remains. In the process, Ricki is attacked by the rat queen, taking 1 unblockable damage.
Amadeusz pulls the lever to open his little hidey hole again. The justiciar immediately notices him.

Ricki returns to the entrance room and, as she feared, sees another patrol of guards enter the dungeon…

Drat, looks like chandeliers dont actually do fire damage so that elite is left with 1 hp.
New patrol is pretty weak, they are just regular guards with leather(3 atk, 5 def and 8 hp each). Not sure if they can even break down the door without fancy justiciar magic.
I dont think supreme justiciar got hit this turn, so should be at 8 hp.
Plan attack.
Amad will need an extra turn to clean up the elite after so Ricki got at least 2 spare turns before her way is clear.
Amad: Attack justiciar with sword, use fang.
Ricki: Attack rat queen, use poison.
Amad got 2 base + 3 ring + 3 sword + (1 study enemy+3 study battle)x2 catalog + 5 fang = 21. Justiciar needs 8hp+6def+3 buff/debuff=17 to beat.
Ricki does 13-14 and rat queen took 3 dirges so should be enough
Justicar will most likely debuff Amad as his action so Amad’s final attack is 18.
Here’s hoping he doesnt have any rings on or we’re wasting even more turns we don’t have.
Uugh its already not letting me edit this anymore >.<
In case this gets chosen:
@LSN Ricki is entering hole and dodging the pressure plate trap. Also she does 16-17 total cuz idol+seal.
Broo u forget the loot too!! Get that sick boss LOOT dude, drop theif tool and poster!!!
Yea that too, thanks.
Sry LSN, plz also have ricki make space as needed by dropping her lockpicks then wanted poster.
This seems like a super risky plan given the time limit of these extra 3 guards. I’d much rather see us try to get Ricki in place to enter the enforcer room ASAP. Taking on the rat queen doesn’t get us closer to that goal and it doesn’t help Amad take out his enemies any quicker either. If the plan is to have Amad clean up the justiciar and the guard that’s a min of two turns, on top of which we’ll need a third turn for Amad to open up the way for Ricki to enter the enforcer room, and a 4th turn for Amad to free himself to join up with Ricki in the enforcer room. That puts us at turn 20 to even start attacking the enforcer with both party members.
I really think we need to prioritize getting Ricki up to the enforcer while doing whatever we can to clear out enemies. Amad can fight the justiciar this turn, but Ricki needs to start making her way to the enforcer.
but this plan already IS for attacking enforcer with both ASAP. Getting ricki up earlier is useless for that cuz amad is the bottleneck.
like, how else you wanna have amad’s lever flipped twice and justiciar and elite down before turn 20?
Plan doorwatch.
Has eyes on patrol to watch if they can deal with blocked door.
Amad: Attack justiciar with sword, use fang.
Ricki: Enter hole, avoid pressure plate trap, loot rat king chest, avoid trap again to exit hole for eyes.
Plan: Aborted
I confused the glove Invisibility Mechanic with the wall climbing mechanic. This plan no work.
Can regular guards bust down locked doors? Like, that kinda stuff usually need a special ability.
I’m sure justiciars can with emperor magic or something but he’d immediately know amad did not go down on room 2 if door is still locked so would find us fighting enforcer.
He’d still end up 2 moves away from us and it would take him 2 turns to be able to attack us again (if we didn’t lock the door which we totally would)
I’m seeing the timeline like:
17: He follows Amad down to room 2 to zap him
18: He sees Amad turn invisible.
19: He sees the room 2 bottom door still locked so knows Amad went up. He goes up. Since this patrol already saw room 3, he action move to room 4 where we are attacking enforcer.
If enforcer dodged, we are giga screwed turn 20.
I doubt LSN would send guards in that are easy to permanently block off. I suspect the doors would be similar to Barricades where they take X damage to clear.
Amad can’t leave the screen next turn if we want to get him through the door after using the gloves. Using the gloves to turn invisible is an action and he only has one movement, so we need him to turn invisible on the screen where the door is if we’re going to do this plan.
Plan: Try to finish the dungeon before things get worse
Ricki: Sneak and move up the ladder, avoiding the pressure plate on this screen past the rat chest. On the next screen move up the ladder in through the hole to get to owlbear screen. Move up the ladder, avoid the mouse trap and stand next to the barrier blocking access to the enforcer hole.
Amadeusz: Attack the justiciar using the fang and your new sword.
This gets us in place for Amadeusz to flip the switch next turn to give Ricki access to the enforcer while probably taking out the current biggest threat – the justiciar. Plan would be for Amadeusz to flip the switch next turn, Ricki to step into the area beyond the gate and then either grit or enter the enforcer room and flip the switch. On the following turn Amadeusz could then flip the switch and join Ricki in engaging the enforcer. Ricki is sneaking to avoid taking damage from both the dire rats/blood rat and the owlbear.
Is sneaking necessary? The rats haven’t hurt Ricki yet (T1, T3, T14), although I’m not sure how much of that is due to lucky dodge rolls, and the owlbear didn’t attack her last time she ran past without going near it (T10).
Sneak is necessary to avoid both the rats and owlbear combining their attacks since Ricki is moving past both in one turn
Deleted: This was a double post of my last comment, which of course wasn’t showing up for me until I reposted it
Are you planning to let the elite follow us in and attack alongside enforcer? I dont understand how this get us engaging enforcer any earlier at all if not? Like Amad cant attack the turn he flips his switch.
So amad still spending turn 16 turn on justiciar and 17-18 flipping. Then we start turn 19 with elite still up. We’d STILL only be able to have both characters attack enforcer turn 20 if we stop to down the elite.
