Dungeon 16 Turn 35
————

The party finally gets tired of the giant icy lettuce punching Kamau over and over, and they team up to kill it. After it flops over dead, Princess tries one last time to chew on it just in case there’s a tiny little core of meat at the centre of it somewhere, but alas, no such luck.
Ricki also drops the sunstone she just picked up, while Botanya drops a magic lens.

Plan: CHARGE!
Ricki: Point out the damaged floor to the party. Make sure everyone can jump over it while carrying their pets. Jump over damaged floor. Use a Gargantuan Gland on Corn knight 1 (18-21 dmg)
Kamau: Jump over damaged floor and interpose Corn. Stay by corn
Botania: Go pick up the sunstone and equip it with your shield .Jump over damaged floor and carry Golly and help princess and shroom over.
Ix: Jump over damaged floor. Stab corn Knight 2 (17 dmg)
Princess: Jump over damaged floor. Bite Corn Knight 1 ( 20-23 dmg)
Shroom: Jump over damaged floor. Punch Corn Knight 1 (22-25 dmg)
Toaster: Shoot Corn knight 1 (23-26 dmg)
Golly: Jump over damaged floor. attack corn knight 1 (24-26dmg)
It’s 24 to one shot these guys. Ricki and Pets guarantee kill 1, and Ix does 6 to another.
Next turn Toaster can help finish off Ix’s wounded corn and Ricki and pets have a 75% chance of one shotting the other.
Toaster makes Holy damage. If Botanya has an action left, or if it can be merged with “pick up” in a natural way, she could “pick up and hold Sunstone revealed in her hand”, thus granting Toaster +1dmg that way. This allows to assign Golly’s damage to the other knight. Even if it doesn’t, it may be good idea to have Botanya just keep that stone out, so Toaster makes more damage.
We don’t have any other Holy-related items or skills that would be affected this way, right?
sidenote: on ‘current party’ there is “Pet: Golly (abandoned)” – but Golly is back with Botanya for quite a few turns already. Is that a permanent note that affects a pet in some way? Is the pet, idk, angry or sad, that it was left for a moment?
Ix’s corona shield probably benefits from stone as well.
I’ve had botania equip it now.
Sadly I think the bonus only applies to the user so I don’t think toaster benefit (it is neither spell nor item)
Description doesn’t specify for the user, so I’d assume it’s a room or area buff, just like the light it provides.
Though looks like this was asked on Discord and LSN confirmed the buff is only for the holder
Aaaaw really? that’s.. well, ok. But at least, I hope, then “light” is not just for the user, right?
“Go pick up the sunstone and equip it”
Please also state what Botanya should transfer to Golly to make room for the stone in her (currently filled) inventory.
okay, after we kill all corns we should regroup and apply as many buffs as possible then attack corn general
the plan is to kill corn if that wasn’t obvious
Makes sense. Although we sadly don’t have any buffs (I would love to have that ability). We could use our paw to buy some wanted posters, but that would be trading a turn for a -1 on the general
aw that’s true but then again our team is buff enough already I guess
We did get some really good starting buffs from the gamer table upgrade at the manor but I would kill for a buffing or debuffing wand. We always have a support character that it would be useful for
I can’t believe no one has mentioned the awesome drop we got from the lettuce
“When turned into salad it never wilts.”
So, yes, where is the never-wilting-salad waiting to be picked up?!
Yeah, I totally expected/counted on us getting some funny Food/Treasure item 🙁
Wait wait wait. This is T35. If the general just summoned a new patrol we’re going to be facing 5 corn soldiers next turn, not 3.
Also, Toaster took 1 HP off Corn Knight 1 on T33, so it’s only 23 to one-shot that one now.
Never mind about Toaster; I was forgetting about Corn Knight 1’s Def, duh.
If general summons 2 corn knights every 5 turns now we are screwed since they take 2 turns to take out. He probably summons them every 10
I hope you’re right. Patrol frequency was every 5 turns in Dungeon 12 and I still have PTSD from that one
The Drider Temple Patrol pattern was mentioned during the Turn 0 set up as part of the dungeon. I think the General’s Summon was a one-time Twist.
But then again, I’m an optimist…
