Botanya and Ix meet back up outside the flying fortress. Botanya picks the upgrade press, staff of gravity, and thieves’ tools back up, while Ix drops off the searing bow in favour of some rope. The bow, six arrows, and a single gold coin remain.
The iceberg lettuce tantrums again and smashes the other ladder to pieces.

Ix returns to the fortress just as everyone else is leaving. Kamau throws away the nunchaccoli and heads to the left room. Ricki drops her midas gloves and uses Case on the corn general before going back down the ladder Ix just climbed up.
Looks like the corn general wields another ridiculous vegetable-based chain weapon, but this one seems pretty powerful. It also pops out some brand new corn knights! Hopefully that doesn’t happen again, ESPECIALLY not on a regular basis.

Kamau blocks a powerful strike from the other iceberg lettuce while Princess tears off its outermost layer of leaves. There’s gotta be meat in this thing somewhere!!

Ricki ends up at one of the now-cleared rooms the party passed through earlier.

Plan: Corn fight
Kamau: Interpose at the top of the ladder.
Ix: Move left and tie the rope to the bottom of the ladder so it drops down to where paws used to be. Move Up ladder and have Toaster shoot Corn Knight 1
Ricki: Climb up rope. Move up ladder. Point out trap to group and use venom blade with Gargantuan Gland to attack Corn Knight 1 if it approaches group. stay at the top of the ladder.
Princess: Bite Corn Knight 1 when it comes
Shroom: Punch Corn Knight 1 when it comes.
Botania: We’re gonna need you here asap. Move left. Move up rope. Move to the top of the ladder and have Golly attack (no kick) corn knight 1 when it comes.
This guarantees a corn knight kill and reduces incoming damge.
Just so everyone knows: It takes 34 dmg (16 hp, 18 def) to one shot Kamau. This battle has 32 before Botania debuff (-4) and Princess debuff (-2). We need botania here with group now because:
General fight dmg is 35-40dmg before debuffs.
We may need to do some emergency healing during/after these battles so we need botania now. Also. If general runs and breaks the ladder or something we may need that gravity staff to avoid remorse.
I’d really like if Ricki points out the trap.
wait wait if que is right that new corns are a patrol, they will immediately attack Kamau with this plan cuz this end turn in sight of where they enter the room.
dont we want to back off for a turn and ambush new corns alone on bottom floor?
They probably wont chase. So this is effectively wastes a turn.
However, assuming the worst, we can play it safe. I’ll post an alternate turn.
I meant we can intercept the patrol when they move down to continue patrolling next turn, the current corns wont follow this turn if are backing off immediately after !.
We are not fighting this turn if we do that though, maybe Ricki can trade with bot to get all 3 lockpicks on her for the chest? Not sure for Kamau tho, maybe move down to get the rope?
Damn. I have a bad feeling about that 2 CKs spawning. They may be on auto-route left to join those three guarding entrance to the general’s room. That might be tough.
There is a trap between Kamau and 3 corn knights
Ok guys. Let’s hold off on killing the general for now. Xp farm those corn knights he’s making until we’re all level 20, then take him out.
Plan: Fall back.
This plan is a wait-and-see approach to the new corn knights. If they are a patrol, they shouldnt join the fight. If they are, then we can split the groups.
Kamau: Move down the ladder and wait there. Interpose any veggies that follow.

We already know that “!” enemies do not follow if we retreat immediately so trying to attack them from the first floor is a waste. Instead, fix up our inventory while we make sure if new corns are a patrol.
Ricki gets the 3 lockpicks for triple lock chest, Botanya get our spare rope, and a parachute is passed to Kamau cuz Ricki will get another when freeing the third flytrap.
Botanya: Move left. Start a group trade next to floor rope to give 2 lockpicks to Ricki, get floor rope.
Kamau: Flee down the ladder. Move down Ix’s rope to join group trade to get parachute.
Ix: Move left and tie your rope to the bottom of the ladder so it drops down to where paws used to be.
Ricki: Join group trade to get 2 lockpicks from Botanya, give Kamau parachute to make space. Move up the rope.
