Dungeon 16 Turn 26
————

Botanya raises her shield to block the onions’ attacks while she loots the chest. Inside she finds a bottle with more clouds visible inside. Neat.

In the fortress, the party enacts a plan to try and lure an onion into melee range. Kamau stops protecting the party. The onions immediately swoop in and pick Ricki up. Kamau and Ix are able to chop one of them in half, but the other lifts Ricki up to the ceiling despite the Cleave damage it sustains
Deciding to make the best of it, Ricki covers one of her eyes with the magic lens she just grabbed off the floor in order to protect it from the onion fumes, then uses on the big enemy up above. It looks like the corn colonel is… oh. Huh. She was so sure it was going to be called a colonel. Oh well. Looks like it’s a pretty strong enemy that might be calling for reinforcements at some point. Better watch out for that.
Toaster and Princess look awkwardly at Mushroom 45, whose owner has been abducted by onions. They mutter their condolences.

Corn that has risen above even the rank of colonel. It crushes all opponents with its incredible power and can call for reinforcements periodically. As a military commander it has a strong grasp of strategy. It makes intelligent choices in combat, up to and including retreating to a stronger position.
BOTTLED CLOUD
Consumable
When opened, creates a Cloud in the room at a location the user can see.

Given that I is in a dead end and has a move speed… I think it may try to run when we engage. It is a beefy boy
…given this morsel of its description: “As a military commander it has a strong grasp of strategy. It makes intelligent choices in combat, up to and including retreating to a stronger position.” it may choose to NOT pursue (why would it risk its own life, if it can just send reinforcements after us?)
I am curious if we should bait the first lettuce into destroying that ladder so any corn knights that start to move towards us from the cloud area can’t get in castle..
Plan: onion soup.
Not guaranteed to kill onion but it’s our best chance. I’m terrified it’s going to move ricki towards the general which could really screw us. Kamau and ix only have a 50% chance to kill it so ricki is going to attack as well since toasted reduces miss chance.
Kamau: wand missile onion
Ix: throw shocktail at onion.
Toaster: attack onion
Ricki: attack the onion
Botania: let your aura debuff the onions. using the chest as a platform, jump and climb along the ceiling and action move left. Regroup with golly and end turn Where paws was.
Ricky gets a head massage xD
Alternatively, she just got a badass helm with levitation ability, plus autopilot, albeit controlled by AI. Still neat 😀
edit: interesting. So CornGeneral’s three-hit ability is limited to ranged. Melee still hits a single target only?
Depends on what that cauli-flail does…
ooh right.. because that’s only HIS stats, and we don’t know yet his EQUIPMENT stats! including the weapon!
I’m a little sad that “big boi cornoise” won’t drop the cauliflail.
