Dungeon 16 Turn 25

Leaving Golly behind, Botanya uses her chameluxeon mittens to climb on the underside of a cloud and reach another chest in the room below the fortress. The two onions notice Botanya immediately but do nothing as of yet. She drops down the lower cloud platform and gets her shield out before they can attack next turn.
The other group continues to battle the vegetables in the fortress. Ricki and Ix defeat the other two peas, which causes all four to drop. Kamau continues to shelter everyone else from the incoming attacks.
On the ground now are two warhammers, two helmets, two heavy shields, two double crossbows, and sixteen bolts. Nobody has inventory space to pick them up.
Plan: onions
Ricki is needed to lockpick lens and case. So we don’t want to use her to fight. I’m not convinced onions are going to move into melee to grab ricki as they are inside a castle and may have different orders. If they do go melee we can kill one, if not then we at least damage one that we can hopefully finish off next turn. Even if ricki does get grabbed and doesn’t scout, not the end of the world…
Botania: loot chest.
Ricki: use lens on floor on the giant corn. Scout left after
Kamau: melee any onion that moves into range.
Ix: throw shocktail at the same onion as Kamau or if none moved to melee, a flying one.
hey uhh I prolly should have asked this first but what was your plan to get Botanya back after chest? I dont think she can just jump to the ceiling
She prob can from use chest as a boost
Does her debuff work on ranged attacks? She wont have shield while climbing.
She has 13 defense even without the shield, no? Together, the UFOs deal 10 damage.
Is there something I’m not seeing?
Pretty sure its 13 with the shield. She got 2 base, 6 ring, 1 gamer and 4 shield. Unless I forgot something giving her def?
You are right. The current party page has Botanya with 4 points of armor (green shields).
Debuff would work as it has an attack value. So only 8 incoming dmg which she can block
Claudious plan but alternate escape(+extra scout)
No worrying about not having shield when climbing, scout an extra room immediately. Since Botanya is alone, she can cross the clouds safely and start exploring right.
Downsides: Clouds are 1 use. If monsters on the right are too strong, she will need need the rest of the party to regroup with her instead of the other way around. Not a huge problem since we need to get the last flytrap there anyway, but a bit awkward for slow Kamau.

She can easily do it later after she climbs back over left with no risk of being stranded
