Dungeon 15 Turn 53
————

After making their final preparations, the party (except for Amadeusz) advances to the next room to finally confront the arachnomancer high priestess.
She is ready for them.
“I knew I could sense intruders befouling this holy place.”
“And I see that traitor walks among them.”
“The Goddess whispered of you in my dreams. The ingrate who rejected Her every gift and mercy.”
“I shall make to her a sacrifice of thanks for this opportunity to destroy you myself.”
“Prepare yourself, creature!”
“You will not leave this temple alive!!”

I disagree.

The high priestess snarls and lays (another) curse upon Lara, cutting her Def in half and leaving her vulnerable to poison damage in a way she is no longer accustomed to. Both spiders then attack her, dealing a total of 8 damage… but Lara remains standing.
The party then counterattacks. Lara and Sue slay one of the spiders, while Ricki and Princess slay another, leaving the high priestess standing alone.
Meanwhile, Amadeusz stands around in a nearby hallway, waiting for his moment to join in.

Plan: Initiate Plan force feed.
Ricki: Switch to double Attack Rings. Attack High Priestess for LARA!!!
Sue: Run in and feed Lara the last Echtoplasm potion. Swoon at Wolf’s amazing attack. Move back to where you were standing before.
Wolf: Move right. Move left (lower). Maul the High Priestess with your claws while smoking the cigarettes. Fetch! the staff if you can before Drider respawns by dropping the Poison Glands you carry.
Lara: Keep that finger up and drink the Echtoplasm potion. Move Right after to get some distance from her Drider’s form.
Ricki Does 12 Damage. Wolf does 16 with Cigarettes. High Priestess is 26 to one-shot so I think that should be enough +extra just in case.
We dont know if the hatred against Lara will maintain or not into Drider form, so we’re moving Lara away to make Ricki (the small) the most likely target vs Drider form. We want Ricki to tank now that she has the defense and Dodge to do it.
In case anyone was wondering, HP using the staff on Lara was what we were hoping for…
get her Amad! 😀 go for the eyes! 😀
also, Lara’s curse has “Spider Bite: (…) halved (7 turns)”, but I guess no point in waiting it out? Lara has 9 hp+def, priestess does 10dmg at range, so a simple ‘mend’ should be enough while rest of the team does the rest, right?
edit: I like Claudious’s plan more. Skip the attack, drink the potion, watch the priestess see the light in the tunnel (or turn to priestess-drider), why risk having to resurrect Lara again..
btw.. letssay Lara is down, and Amad has still full charges for the song, but we kill the boss and dungeon is finished.. can we have Amad use his song on the very last turn or after the very last turn, to resurrect a member? or dungeon ends and party member is lost, because, well, shoulda have left the boss alive one turn more?

I asked LSN this exact same question on Discord a couple of days ago. The answer was No, if Lara (or anyone) dies at the end of the dungeon, Amad wont have time to Revive. If it was Ricki… the answer was maybe.
Oof 8 damage I guess I posted too late after all >.<
Hopefully we wont need Lara for phase 2
I just went to “current party” page in order to check out the curse on Lara (it’s there, but it’s not marked as a curse) and noticed that Golly still has her “kick” symbol coloured in. I think she used it up on the Gargantula and thus it should not be available anymore, or did I remember that wrong?
That is probably an error. At this point we should just pretend it is unavailable.
Guys this is kinda an unfair fight. Let’s let the high priestess get a free hit in. Everyone do nothing next turn.
