Dungeon 14 Turn 61

Macadamia blows on a tyrant horn once again. The tyrant lizard leaps up from below and smashes yet another floor, snapping the slackrope on the way, as well as destroying an entire pile of items.
Botanya runs back and forth through the dungeon in a mild panic over the various loud noises she hears from nearby.
Kamau looks for a place to set his bomb so that it will destroy the sole remaining lock on the heavy door, but he can find no such place. With a resigned sigh he instead holds it over his head while Ricki throws her torch from a distance. The resulting explosion does indeed shatter the lock, causing the door to sink into the ground. Kamau manages to withstand the damage of the bomb, but the blastwave knocks Ricki, Daisy, and the beautiful dwarven maiden back to the previous OH MY GOD
Plan: Final obstacle
Kamau: use the holy water and attack the Baby Tyrant. Cleave into the eggs if you can. or pick up as many as you can. Drop the bolts and death robe to make room if you have to.
Ricki: Practice your rope climbing skills. Stay up top
Botania: Blow the horn on the floor and move right after.
Mac: Stay absolutely still. Its sight is based on movement. Keep the whimpering to a minimum.
Baby Tyrant will target things that fit in its mouth over anything else so Ricki needs to stay back. Hopefully we can just cleave the eggs and be done with this place. If not, We still have a turn before Momma comes running. Kamau can also tank 2 turns from momma before dying.
Holy water is being used because Kamau needs light and we just blew up our light source…
May I suggest Botanya blowing the horn specifically while standing right at the *right* edge of the room, instead of where the horn lies?
Her inventory is full so she can’t pick it up sadly
Potential complication (not that we can do much about it): Baby cries are louder than horn blows I think.
The horn blast is more for making sure it doesn’t keep jumping. Mac doesn’t have much space to maneuver

I just read it as narrator dwarf’s reaction to narrating herself getting exploded and launched out of the room. It seems like she narrates the events just before/as they happen?
That’s how I interpreted it.
Writing about an explosion is one thing, being in an explosion is quite different.

I read it as the previous room being where the King is, separated from them by just a
single paper-thin floor that it’s just fallen a whole level onto. That particular scenario would be a fairly hostile / “unfair” behavior change; but whatever it is, written as-is it’s clearly a response to something *in* that room rather than the bomb.
That was a pretty big jump from the tyrant. We should go check make sure they’re ok.

Alt to have Kamau equip a weapon instead because I don’t think Kamau can oneshot baby rex with his shield and def dont matter to unblockable.

Ricki: Climb up rope. Case Sue for spoilers on new friend’s unique item(s).
Botania: Blow the floor horn, ideally on the right edge of the room, and move right after.
Mac: Toss the spare rope down the left ladder just in case you need to make your way down. Stay up.
Isn’t the hilt stronger than the shocktail? 3 Atk + light sword proficiency + heavy sword proficiency, compared to 4 Atk.
Shocktail has +2 from deadly and robes so 6 total
