Dungeon 14 Turn 36

Ricki drops a set of thievesβ tools in order to make room for another tyrant fang, then the party moves upward to the top of the dungeon. Macadamia is able to defeat one of the miners there with another hurled javelin, but Daisy and the flytrap donβt have enough combined damage to knock out another. Fortunately, Kamau is able to both block and evade all three of the minersβ incoming strikes. It seems this battle will be fairly simple…
…until the kobold at the back of the room leaps into battle and lands 3 unblockable damage!

Kamau: Keep the shield up. Interpose.
Ricki, Mac, Daisy and flytrap: Attack the enemy ringsmiffer.
Botanya: Heal Kamau with nectar, stay close to debuff the enemies.
When the enemies are gone, I think we can set that table on fire and barbecue some meat.
This may sound crazy but hear me out: don’t heal kamau.
We are running out of healing for kamau and if we want to maximize our hp, we need to let the healing armor and mend do its job..
For example, if kamau has 6 hp and takes 5. He’s down to 1 and heals up to 3 from armor. Healing him 3 puts him at 6 and can tank another hit.
If we used that heal 3 already to put him at 9hp, he can only tank one hit before being at risk.
Also, I know that’s harsh, but Kamau still has Daunting charge, which resets him to 1 hp, which we don’t know how it would interact with armour healing-at-end-of-turn.Both effects are worded in a way that makes me think he’d actually revive back to 3 hp (regain 1hp, recover up to 3hp, both at-end-of-turn).I don’t say we should test it now/etc, but that’s another safeguard that lets us, to some degree, keep Kamau at low hp, and keep healing items for other team members… ah crap, I forgot about remorse. No point in keeping healing items for others if we try hard for them to not lose a single HPForget this. See my other comment below, under Jing’s plan.

If it’s somebody Mac knows, he’ll at least mention it at the time of / instead of attacking
Mac: “Oh, him? That’s Rotderick. With ‘t’, so it’s sounds rotten. We’re not friends. He makes decent rings, but has bad temper and awful manners, you’ve already noticed probably. It may sound harsh, but I don’t mind him going out of the business. Afterall, competition in the industry is rather .. fierce.”
Guys. I see where you are going to with not-healing Kamau, but look carefully at D13 T6-T7 and then how we were screwed up at T8.
I know the overall idea now was that we went up the ladder and that might have put the miners+yellowers at “alerted” mode that will attack on next sight.
But look carefully at D13 T7. It’s MAY be no different. We attacked someone on the level above. This may be the cause of the “!” mark and they might run up the ladder and join the fight immediately on the very next T37.
I keep my fingers crossed that this won’t happen and/or Kamau’s evasion does its wonders, but if it doesn’t, then we might be triggering Dauntless right now.
Actually, we might be triggering it regardless of whether we heal him or not, purely depending on luck factor.
You may be right, but LSN did give us a warning about that on D13 T7 β

Don’t forget about the mushie when interposing tho, its damage can matter like in this turn.
3 unblockable is a lot more than just death enchantment. Is he wielding a tyrant blade?

This guy might be the leader with that fancy equipment and special art panel so pumping 2 extra free damage into him to be sure he goes down.
Botanya can debuff after taking action(see turn 2) so we can check what’s in that chest even if she has no space.
