Kamau takes another 3 unblockable damage for the sake of his allies as the party attacks the enemy ringsmif. Ricki and the flytrap deal minor damage, but Macadamia and Daisy miss outright.

During the fight, Botanya sneaks past to open the nearby chest. Inside she finds some interesting tools, likely belonging to the ringsmif. She also finds some notes researching ways these tools can be used to modify living eggs. Could this be how the kobolds are raising such monstrous creatures? Through modified ringsmifing? Defeating the ringsmif would likely hamper their efforts substantially, though removing any modified eggs already waiting to hatch would also be necessary.

Botanya doesn’t really understand the notes, and neither does she think they ought to be used. She burns them with her torch. She leaves the other items on the floor since she has no room to carry them just yet.
