Dungeon 9 Turn 28
————
Ricki takes out one of the ghouls in a single strike, but also ends up paralyzed until the end of next turn after two ghouls team up against her. Kamau’s paralysis wears off at the end of this one.
Lara distracts the remaining rat and kills it.
Despite Botanya attempting to help with her pipes, the injured ghoul and the injured flytrap end up destroying each other.
All of the ghouls’ equipment remains intact so far, and only one ghoul remains guarding it.
Kamau: and lara: kill last ghoul
Botanya: pipe ghoul. Pick up gold sword and store on molly
Ricki: be paralyzed.
Idea here is to hope we save a turn by making the ghoul miss with pipes.
After that, it sounds like most want to push on to boss room.
Do we assume that the sarcophagus is empty?
We could ask LSN on Discord.
In general, items visually pop out of chests and onto the floor by default
Alternate plan (mostly cribbed from Claudius):
Kamau: and lara: kill last ghoul
Botanya: Create a new flytrap, assign it to Kamau. Pick up gold sword and one other sword and store on Golly.
Ricki: be paralyzed.
Botanya using pipes is around a 10-15% chance to save an action for a single character (20% success rate on the pipes * whatever the ghoul’s paralyze rate is. I’m guessing 50-75%). It doesn’t save any remorse or infection, and costs an action, and frankly has pretty bad odds. Instead have that character catch up if they do wind up paralyzed.
Also no reason not to take another rusty sword, we can always drop it for free later.
Caveat: If any pets cross the center of the dungeon without Kamau to interpose for them, Coccyx will shoot them. Which would be especially bad for Mushroom 1.
Not unless they (the pet) attack.
Quote:
Pets are only vulnerable to enemy attacks if the pet makes an attack of their own, so it’s possible to have a pet abstain from fighting in order to protect it.
From “how to play”.
Ah, I forgot that. Thanks!
