Dungeon 7 Turn 48
————
Everyone gathers underground once again. Ricki drops an onion and a carrot in order to reequip her defensive gear, then joins Macadamia and Kamau in picking onions. Ricki and Macadamia both get hit by a wave of stink, but are protected by their armour and shields. Kamau, picking two onions, gets hit with zero stink and is completely fine. Those gloves are really something! Macadamia and Ricki drop their onions, but Kamau keeps his.
Lohk drops her shield and picks up two tomatoes instead.
Kamau then climbs back up the stalk. He sees that a rat king has appeared from the right. It was probably attracted by the smell of the all the vegetables the party has been picking and/or defeating in combat.
Can we leave now guys?
I second this. And if you’ll allow me: third this.:p
I’ll be happy to third CombatDoctor.
We successfully tested out the garden gloves. (And they really are super awesome!)
Let’s grab whatever loot we still can that is in reach on our way out and make like a tree. (=”leaf”/leave for non-native speakers unfamiliar with that phrasing)
Before anything bad happens and we lose vaulable level-up skill or even chars due to us be(com)ing greedy.
I bet the gloves will find use in our garden 😉
Full retreat….and maybe pick up some more vegetables….BUT FULL RETREAT!
Attracted by vegetables? Does that means we can distract it by throwing one of the extra vegetable we got at it? Would save Kamau from having to interpose it.
According to https://gist.github.com/KingMarth/2c55735080b5b7a39b1514154a2cb177 it has an atk of 5, so Kamau can interpose it.
I’m thinking about having Kamau stow the plate in Molly this turn so we can leave next turn without dropping more stuff.
But we would either need to move stuff to Kamau (pick up takes a turn, trading it to Kamau takes another, after spending a turn of Kamau trading his armor to Ricki, and the person bringing stuf to Kamau would need to pick it up and have the space for it), or move Kamau downstairs, trade armor to Ricki/Molly (1 turn), pick up stuff and go up again (2nd turn). How can we get the armour to Molly and still leave in one turn?
Ricki: swap shield and bat armor with Molly’s tomatoes and and potatoes. Pickup corn spear and eggs
Kamau: pick up the other onions
Lhok: drop tomatoes and pickup carrots
All join mac and topside and leave dungeon together
We have all the veggies we need for variety. Let’s leave now before something bigger shows up
Let’s not leave our shield on the ground even if we’re going away this turn. It’s more valuable than any stack of produce.
Edit: ignore this
Kamau: Interpose.
Ricki: Place magma shield and bat armor into Molly’s bags, retrieve tomatoes and potatoes from Molly’s bags. Drop arrows to the floor (can buy from Paws). Pick up corn spear, all eggs and all carrots (cannot buy those from Paws and maybe can only plant those plants at the manor which we have).
Lohk: Drop the tomatoes, pick up the shield (again).
Macadamia: Don’t panic!
Plant Lady: This is how you leave dungeons, trust us.
Everybody: go to Kamau, leave dungeon.
We would take with us: Ricki: 2 corn, 4 tomatoes, 3 potatoes, 4 carrots, 3 eggs and Kamau: 2 onions.
Left behind in the cellar: 2 tomatoes, 3 onions, 3 arrows.
Identical to the plan I was going to post.
I’ll let someone else make the case for staying here another turn. If we’re leaving this turn, I think this gets the most valuable stuff that we can get while still having Kamau interpose. We’ll leave three arrows, and partial stacks of tomatoes and onions. Fortunately, we still have some of each of those for the 3 gold bonus
Yes, carrots more valuable than arrows was totally your idea (Thanks!) and otherwise it happened at the same time.
Adding my spoken vote here, just in case
Because it wouldn’t hurt to ask, can you add:
Mac: Ask plant lady if she will help carry some of this home (the dropped tomatoes, onions and maybe arrows)?
While I’m down with the loot-and-leave, here’s a plan that should be a safe alternative to scrape a few more gold out of here on our way out the door.
Kamau: Attack ratking (yes this spawns a rat, but that’s safe. The rat won’t attack this turn, it has summoning sickness, and the King just does 5 damage, safely tanked)
Ricki: Place bat hide and magma shield on Molly in exchange for tomatoes and potatoes, then Maca’s wolf hide in exchange for the healing potion (hand it to Maca), then finally Maca’s shield in exchange for the crowcall. Give Maca your wand of fireball and the bow as well If possible, grab Lohk’s shield and the corn spear from the ground while you’re at it, if you can.
Maca: after giving Ricki your stuff, you’ll end up with
Lohk: Give one additional tomato on Ricki, and hang on to the other one I guess. This way we’ve got 1 maxed stack and if we suddenly realize there’s something else we want Lohk can chuck her last tomato and pick i tup.
Next turn:
Kamau: Strike your favorite (Inter)pose!
Ricki: Grab Lohk’s shield, the corn spear, the eggs, the carrots, and the onion, then go up (in case you’re not allowed to pick stuff up from the floor while trading with Mac & Molly the turn prior)
Maca: Up, left, get additional carrots (+6gp), come back right.
Lohk: up
All: Exit! Definitely run directly into the 4th wall to get out of the dungeon.
Having Kamau engage the rat king to lock it down rather than allowing it to wander if it were so inclined, and otherwise just buying a turn to let Maca loot some extra carrots.
Jerf, please edit this to fill up Mac’s inventory except for one spot for carrots. We want Ricki to pick up everything in the basement next turn and Mac to only have to pickup the carrots.
Edited slightly to properly manage the inventory, since this plan had Maca picking stuff up from the floor this turn. Instead, loading him up now, then next turn Ricki will mass-loot the basement, and Maca will go grab carrots.
Inventory after all actions, next turn in [brackets]
Macadamia:
Swiftblade
Greater healing potion
3 Eggs
5 carrots
3 onions
[5 more carrots]
[1 more carrot]
= 7/5 slots
Ricki:
Bow
2 corn
3 arrow
wand
petegg
tomatoes
potatoes
crowcall
[Lohk’s shield]
[corn spear]
= 10/9 slots
Molly:
bat hide
wolf hide
heavy shield
greataxe
magma shield
= 5/5 slots
Lohk:
Cane
Staff
Fire robe
Monk robes
1 tomato
= 5/5 slots
Kamau:
(doesn’t change)
The math in this plan has issues. We can’t carry all that.
Yeah this makes no sense. Appears text got cut off so I’m not super certain what the intention was, but I think maybe it actually works now? It’s just Mac isn’t saying what he has. I think it’s the swiftblade, healing potion, wand of fireball, and the bow?
Oh look. An indication that it is time to leave.
