Dungeon 7 Turn 44
————
The entire party, including the strange plant girl, meet up in the underground room. Kamau rushes the potatobeast and just barely avoids taking damage from its attack, while Ricki, Lohk, and Macadamia attack it. With no light source in the room (fireball doesn’t count, it only lasts a fraction of a second), the potatobeast seems much sturdier and ready to fight. It takes decent damage, but doesn’t die yet.
The plant lady doesn’t seem very interested in the fighting, and instead starts petting the strange snapper things guarding the chest on the left.
I wonder.. can she pacify them enough to let one of our guys safely open the chest?
That was my thought as well. Could not hurt to ask. We could also use the lens on one to see what kind of damage they do. We could have Kamau Interpose and run someone past to open and loot the chest. Finish the potato first though.
We can also do the same thing for the Corn warrior so that Ricki can open the chest behind it.
The chest behind the corn is locked. Our lock picks are in the barn.
Unlikely. More likely it was just artistic liberty. Seems more likely those who don’t join the team can’t do any actions.
Kamau: Interpose.
Lohk: Put your shield into your inventory in exchange for your torch. Wield the burning torch and light up the room. Deep-freeze the potato with a Ray of Frost if possible to do with torch aloft.
Macadamia: Chop the potatobeast finely with the swiftblade.
Ricki: Attack the potatobeast with your hunter’s bow. Pick up any potatoes that drop and add them to your pile of potatoes, and also pick up 5 tomatoes to fill another slot.
Everyone: do not end turn on the stalk.

Do we really think we need to spend an arrow here? I feel like the axe will be more than enough considering it already took significant damage and this time it will be nerfed by the light. Might as well take advantage of the fact that Molly can be freely traded with.
Yes, we actually do believe an arrow may be needed. We have been overstaying in the dungeon, according to Lsn’s usual taste. So we are expecting a possibility of a further debuff next turn. Arrow helps counteract that.
What? We already got the extra timer for staying long on 40: pollen now affect defense too and it didn’t say anything about shortening the interval. There could be another mechanic change to make us GTFO if we keep staying way too long past the 2nd timer mechanic, but it doesn’t make sense to me to trigger it only 5 turns after.
Well, we also never had been told anything about that the pollen will intensify at ’40, until that happened, right?
Plant tamer! Awesome! Let’s not sac her then
