Dungeon 6 Turn 42
————
Lohk returns to the living room and searches the couch. It’s much too large to be moved by mere mortals, but she does find three gold coins under the cushions.
Daisy wants to jump up on the couch but Lohk is very old-fashioned and says no.
Lohk returns to the hallway above the kitchen at the end of the turn.
Ricki and Macadamia climb to the library. Macadamia picks up the enchantment scroll, while Ricki helps Lara kill the centipede, which they easily do without taking any damage. The bug drops a venom gland, which Ricki picks up.
Lara: attack the evil doggo, and make some noise while you’re at it to distract everyone
Ricki Mac and Lohk? Go through the hole and sneak attack the Crab Monster person
Yeah! Let’s make the Kidney Pincher fight interesting!
Ricki: EAT THE VENOM GLAND then attack Crab Face
No, Daisy, no! Down, Daisy! Down!
Why not let the old lady dog have some comfort, too?
Lara: Wield your shield. Wait for Ricki’s signal then enter the master bedroom through its front door and wade into melee with the dog and rats. Attack the weird dog with venom sting.
Ricki: Wait for Lohk to show up, then signal Lara before charging through the rat hole and attacking the kidney pincher with your heavy pick.
Lohk: Head to the library, then follow Ricki through the rat hole and attack the kidney pincher with your Cane.
Macadamia: Follow Lohk through the rat hole and attack the kidney pincher with your longsword.
Explanation: We know the plague rats do 3 damage, so Lara is looking at 6 damage plus whatever the dog is packing. I’d rather have her go in with 9 defense for a turn, even if it doesn’t kill anything, so we have some idea of how strong that group is.
Be careful. The glint underneath the bed might be some kind of monster that may also be under the Kidney pinchers mind control. And the kidney pincher might also be aware what any of their “victims” see, so they could sic whatever is under the bed on Ricki/Lohk/Macadamia when they attack, ambushing the ambushers.
Nothing we can do to avoid this risk. And we have to deal with this group. A pincer attack is the only option.
I assume that unlocking the door will move us to a Boss fight. Fight with “Kidney Pincher” will get us there.
If we want to sell stuff to Pawns we should do it beforehand.
as long as no one is with him the turn Ghost attacks he won’t be scared and leave.
imo last chance to use Pawn.
inventory managment is a bit overwhelming for me so no idea if going for him is desirable,
just wanted to point that out: last chance.
We still got a few small skulls left to kill. Which is why the rats were left in the hole and the bat in the entrance. So we can negotiate with paws.
we have 3 small skulls to kill and there are 3 bats with “Kidney Pincher”
unless the plan is to leave them alive as we did with other mooks.
It is, yes.
We got to start moving because we are getting close to people dying if they take a hit soon.
Yep. Here’s hoping this last big combat goes well. If Lohk gets hit on 45 turn 50 could see a death.
Part of me wonders that once we engage the knight, the “every 5 turns” damage goes away because we have him engaged. We should also plan on having several wooden stakes and grave flowers in case the knight is Undead. I get the feeling that the faster that we kill him, the better.
