Dungeon 6 Turn 12
————
Lara and Macadamia meet briefly in the kitchen (Lara shows restraint and only makes fun of Mac’s hat a little bit). Macadamia turns over his magma shield, longsword, and ring of protection, while Lara drops her purse and the rabbit’s paw to make room. Macadamia then heads back to the entrance room while Lara gets into position to fight the bugs above. She’s too tall to crawl under the tables, so she has to run through the cloud of flies instead. She takes 1 unblockable damage from doing so.
After dropping her magic lens in the basement, Lohk returns once more to the upper room and opens the second chest while Daisy has a grand old time chasing the final squirrel around. Inside the chest is a wooden stake, which Lohk figures will come in very handy later.
Ricki returns to the closet and opens the chest. She finds a rope, which is great because she’s been wanting another one since way back in the chapel.

WOODEN STAKE
Weapon
Atk +1. When used to attack undead, deals +4 extra damage and is destroyed.
Weight 1 , Cost 9
Macadamia: move up and try the keys at the right door in the library that doesn’t lead you past the skeletons. If that works, go right. If that doesn’t work and trying that out didn’t count as action, scatter the dog bones. DO NOT ENGAGE (neither the skeletons nor the bats in the portrait room)
Ricki: move right, up through the rat tunnel and scatter the dog bones.
Lohk: go through the rat tunnel, up into the kitchen, leave the wooden stake on the loot pile, crawl under the tables and heal Lara with your channel ability.
Lara: attack the baatle with longsword (and shield).
Pets: channel positive vibes for your owners.
option 1 with Lohk healing Lara preemtively.
This is almost my preferred plan. I’d really like Ricki to grab the lens and thieves tools instead of scattering skulls, since we might need to unlock the door if Mac’s keys don’t work.

Lohk: go through the rat tunnel, up into the kitchen, leave the wooden stake on the loot pile, crawl under the tables and from safe distance range attack the baatle with frost ray.
Lara: attack the baatle with longsword (and shield).
Pets: channel positive vibes for your owners.
option 2 with Lohk frost raying the battle. Is kind of risky, in case the bugs decide not to stay in melee with Lara.
We should break stove pipe and hopefully by the time we finish the Bedroom group flies are gassed to death.
To save 1 dmg on Lara on the way back.
Assuming that’s how that works.
Ricki: Pick up the Thieves’ Tools and Lens in the Basement and go up. If that wasn’t the action for the turn, try to break the stove pipe to smoke out the flies.
Lara: Attack one of the Darking Bugs. (AKA the dark lightning bug monsters)
Maca: Go the room above the entrance and unlock the door with your Keys. Go through if you can.
Lohk: Crawl under the table and cast Heal on Lara.
If you’re gonna have Ricki do that, have her grab the lens too. That was the point of having Lohk drop the lens with the thieves tools in the basement.
Didn’t realize there was a Lens there. Edited.
It’s hard to keep track of what we have where when we have so much stuff on the ground.
Ricki: Go right, pick up the lens and thieves tools, then head upstairs to the kitchen. Guide Lohk on how to crawl under a table and avoid flies, in case she uhh, forgot.
Lohk: Return out of the squirrel hole and then head upstairs. Drop your new wooden stake with our pile of loot. Head upstairs, crawling under the table to avoid flies, and cast “healing” on Lara.
Lara: Wait to be healed by Lohk, then go upstairs and Attack a darkning bug with your longsword. You know, the weird scary small not baatle bugs. If you have any influence over these things, try to engage the bugs away from the bed.
Macadamia: Go upstairs and try our keys on the door leading right – avoid the skeletons completely. If the keys work, head right. If the keys don’t work and that somehow wasn’t an action, bash the inanimate skeleton dog bones.
Pets: Bark? Do wolf spiders bark?
Very similar to Gathers’ post, but switches Ricki attacking a skeleton dog to picking up the magic lens and thieves tools we stocked for her. Main use case is if we end up being unable to unlock the library door with our keys, it’ll be good to do that next turn, and we’ll need the tools for that.
Hi there!
As first, I think that it is easier to think when you keep together all data. Thus I make a possible map of dungeon:
https://ibb.co/nn2HV2y
I also set a coordinate system on this page for more accurate conversation) For those who don’t see the page: portrait room is the A2, room to its right – B2, room to its up – A3. Further you may yourself understand)))
In most, I agree with previous commentators) Except boss room we didn’t explore only room B3. It has two ways to enter. We can go right from top level of portrait room, than fight with skeletons and climb the stairs in B2. And we can go to A3, it has closed door to B3. Do we have the key from it? It maybe that we have key from space with owlbear, and key from our door is nearby the door to space with owlbear)
We really think that we have need to scatter bones? Even if they will come to life, they just can’t rich boss room on time) Or you think that it will be when we extinguish all skulls on door?
Further, about pets. My thought is in that we should gather the main striking power in one place) Therefore:
For Ricky herself I see mean to join Macadamia) She also can get healing potion for Lara anf join attack forces, then Lonk can keep her ability))
P.S. Author, Doesn’t Lara has 3 points of spider crazy? She one time used powerful poison attack and two times subdued pets)
Hi Komny! I’ve been keeping a running map as well, at https://bit.ly/dungeon-eyes-map. I do keep it a certain way and include or exclude some information, so please feel free to continue updating your map. Otherwise, feel free to make use of mine!
Regarding the canine bones, we see two options:
We’ve not seen puzzle-chest in this dungeon yet. And we don’t know what could be its condition. Just as likely as cleaning up the dog-bones, the condition might be cooking a meat on the stove, winning pokemon battle, or getting rid of the flies. We never know. But, if we have any actions left that would be wasted otherwise, it’s nice to give it a try. So far we see the bones all over the place, so it makes a relatively reasonable subquest.
