Ricki and Lara each slay one of the remaining rats without trouble. Kamau then scoops up the four rat tails that drop as post-battle loot, since he’s the only one with inventory space.
Everyone: Move right.
Kamau: Interpose.
If there’s more enemies than just the rat pile, everyone make for the exit. Without leaving anyone behind.
Otherwise: Ricki + Lara murderize rat pile.
7 damage to the rat pile in two hits. We should also figure out if the pile spawns one or two rats from getting hit by two characters at the same time. If it spawns two and doesn’t die Kamau will take a minor hit next turn, but we don’t care. And the info is worth it.
Should we burn a rat tail just to be sure? We’re kinda flush at the moment and if we can harvest even more rat tails in the next couple turns safely it could be worth it.
In order to do that, we’d have to do some inventory swapping first (namely Kamau gives at least one rat tail to Ricki, who has the rat fang dagger. Rick could give e.g. the thieves tools back to him, she won’t be needing those for the rest of this dungeon and she doesn’t have room in her inventory right now).
Also, I think we’ll learn more if we don’t use the boost. We still have 2-3 more turns before the water comes (depending on whether you count turn 17 for which we are currently voting, too. In turn 20, the whole dungeon will be flooded, we’d probably best bail out of there before that happens).
Yep was planning on the swaps. Oh agreed. But I think if we can safely spend the next two turns killing rats so they drop some tails to fuel the dagger would be time well spent. All of this depends on how many creatures are up there though.
Additionally to the proposed action & movement:
Let’s do the swap, but nevertheless not use a tail this turn!
If either we get a replacement action, because the proposed one is not possible, or there is some catastrophe and we want to use a tail but Ricki cannot access Kamau’s inventory, then there would be a tail available where the rat fang is.
(Am I paranoid? Yes. The question is: Am I paranoid enough?)
Also Gathers were you in LSN’s Goblin game way back when? I remember the screen name. I was… Uh… acts something I think? The brown Goblin that got turned into a robot.
Uhm, a goblin turned into a golem was actually one of EvilCoatRack’s games. I was “TendsToTheWounded” in that one, who fell in love with CrimsonFire. 😀
I was also lucky enough to participate in a couple of LSN’s games. Made a lucky dice roll when one of the characters got replaced and called my character “ForgetsEverything”. He was in a grey hue. That was the game with the “rope” room that LSN has been referring to in his tweets around the 9th of June. Good times. ^-^
I’m kinda in favor of burning a rat tail. We have a full stack + 1. If we get more dropped right now, then that’s great, but 1 rat tail is a big waste of inventory space on its own.
Well, generally he can certainly try and go to the right area of the room, out of the aggro space of whatever rats are present (that has yielded varying results in the past, though). But he normally can’t leave the room after interposing (because that counts as “fighting” iirc.).
However, once the dungeon goal is achieved (and that was Ricki + 3 treasures getting to the exit, with the caveat that only characters present near the exit, too, would be getting skill point/level up), all characters are teleported out of the dungeon immediately and safely, so in this one special case, it should work out.
Maybe Kamau can grab the rope with hand and legs and be pulled out by Ricki (and Paws, if present again) as cinematic escape, while Lara Venomous-Stings from above, the rats jump after him but bump into the just-then-closed sewer grate instead and shrieking in anger fall back into darkness below?

@Pixar: When do we get Dungeon Eyes in the cinema/stream/whatsoever?
Equipment swap. Ricki Exchanges thieves tools with kamau’s rat tails.
Everyone: move right. See what’s there, if possible, before engaging.
If only rat pile is there, Kamau interpose, everyone move out of aggro zone to the right of the pile, and leave, but only if everyone can leave.
However, if Kamau can’t interpose and move out of aggro zone at the same time, then, after moving into next room:
1- Kamau interposes
2- Lara and Ricki both attack the largest enemies (with longsword and rat fang, respectively) they can that are not the rat pile. (Dire Rats preferentially, any surprise enemy we find otherwise (burn rat tail if surprise enemy) and small rats last
Speaking of just-in-case, best to leave an empty slot on Ricki and Lara for Always Prepared and Addicted. Not expecting issues, but it’s a good habit to get into.
Lara shouldn’t be an issue because we are definitely selling an item from her inventory. For Ricki we can insure this happens by moving her coins to Kamau and trading a thieve’s tools for a rat tails stack.
Lara: Why are you so worried about what’s in our way to the exit? It’s right there. It’s like the only thing you *can* see from here.
Kamau: *nervous sweating*

Then I shall upvote this plan.

Lara, there is something on your sword…
Try to not lick nor suck it. Ricky’s watching.
Minor variation to Night’s Plan:

If only rat pile is there we definitely should kill it.
Hm, that’s true. Amending.
Addition. If only rat pile is there, kamau interposes while rest of the team murderizes it with equipment setup as above.
Speaking of just-in-case, best to leave an empty slot on Ricki and Lara for Always Prepared and Addicted. Not expecting issues, but it’s a good habit to get into.
