“So… no.”
“I didn’t kill your teacher. She died of whatever illness she had.”
“But I did kill the other goblins that were at the camp.”
“All of them except for you and Ricki.”
“I’ve been carrying the guilt for so long…”
“But knowing that someone I’ve come to care about was there… knowing how close I was to killing her, too…”
“If you think I deserve to die for what I’ve done, I can’t disagree with you.”
“I won’t defend myself.”
“I—”
“Hey!”
“Was that an EXPLOSION I heard?”
“What happened?!”
“Oh, I had some trouble with that fancy fire device. There was a bit of a flare-up.”
“I was worried I was going to burn the whole manor down, but Kamau was nearby and got it under control.”
“Nothing to worry about, Ricki.”
Amusingly, Lohk can’t actually kill Kamau under dungeon rules without a bigger weapon than her cane. Three Fireballs, even at max rolls with the Fire Dragon Robes in her inventory, would only chip off 12 HP due to his 3 base Def, and he’s up to 16 HP. With those spent, she could pummel him all day; the Cane would be 2 damage and the Monk Robes would be 3.
Of course, we aren’t in a dungeon. It is a credible threat.
Something tells me that will change once we see what her room upgrade gives her
+damage against Kamau, attacks perfermed with him in range have 50% of also hitting him.
