“Anyway. After that, the survivors of our clan joined with their allies.”
“They integrated over time, but the story of their origins continued to be passed down.”
“It’s not a very happy story.”
“I didn’t say it would be.”
“Even before the Empire, there is a great deal of tragedy in the history of our people.”
“I guess so.”
“Oh, but there was one thing you mentioned I wanted to ask about!”
“What’s that?”
“You said you learned the story of our ancestors from your teacher.”
“Who was your teacher?”
“Oh.”
“I…”
“I haven’t spoken about her for a long time.”
“But yes.”
“I suppose you should know that story as well.”
Oh noes. Again we go into the sad.
Again we go! Though, I’m hopeful it won’t all be sad.
Is Ricky gonna learn about her biological mother?
Possible but it seems unlikely? It seems like this person was significantly older than Lohk (teacher was possibly around to learn this story, Lohk had to learn it secondhand from teacher). Lohk already seems kinda old to be Ricki’s mother – I get more of a grandma vibe.
We’ve just seen completely new face of Lohk.
