“Indi was good at her job, but together we were unstoppable.”
“Any young drow who was on the fence about the arachnomancers was like putty in our hands.”
“And anybody else who walked around by themselves at night, and didn’t seem like they’d be missed…”
“…Well, at the time, I felt like I had a pretty good life.”
I just saw the difference in their eyes. The boy here and Lara before joining the cult (p16) have a lighter shade of red in their eyes.
Edit: the same is true for the arachnomancers from before the Emperor’s banning of the other gods.
Wow, very impressive attention to detail!
Yeah, that’s pretty subtle, I’m glad you pointed it out!
Remember the color. We might need it later 😉
The only ending here worse than Indira dying (or transforming into some monster on hitting max Corruption) is where she’s still fine in the Cult, without Lara. Maybe cutting her loose now that her Corruption is nearly used up, maybe an ordinary breakup.
I’ve suspected before that Lara’s bond dungeon would be an Arachnomancer temple/hideout. What might we need to do there?
Based on our interactions with the other gods, I have a feeling we might need to save the arachnomancer cult from their own corruption.
Just to remember, so far we:
1, saved a cleric from the God of Revelry (and a tavern!);
2, reconsecrated the holy ground in a church of the God of the Sun;
3, saved devotees of the Goddess of Hearth;
4, appeased followers, and maybe and avatar, of the God of Crows.
And all of this seems pretty much in line with the objective of restoring the other gods as we remove the Emperor as a central and lone figure of divine power.
