“So, in the interest of bringing more people into this little project, I’ve taken the liberty of finding a handful of dungeons that are causing problems for the locals, and which the Guard has been dragging their feet on.”

“Sounds like a good idea to me. What’ve you got?”

“Well, first of all, one of the nearby farms turned weeks ago.”

“Wait, like, the barn is a dungeon?”

“No, the entire farm.”

“An outdoor dungeon? That can happen?”

“Sure. They’re easier to get away from if you need to, but otherwise the same as any other.”

“Anyway, it seems that the livestock and crops themselves have become dungeon monsters, and occasionally emerge to attack the neighbours. This might be a chance not only to gain some goodwill, but also to secure some seeds to get things started here.”

“If there really are a lot of plant monsters here, it might be a good idea to bring a way to deal fire damage.”

“Second, there’s an old pre-Imperial tomb up in the hills. Zombies have been wandering out of it.”

“Actual for real zombies? The bitey, infecty kind?”

“I don’t think anyone’s been willing to get bit to confirm it, but possibly. The Guard has blockaded the pass leading to the tomb, but there’s another way in. Which means there’s another way OUT, so it might be a good idea to take care of this before we have another plague on our hands.”

“Yeah, Lohk told me stories about the last zombie plague. It sounds bad.”

“It’s pretty bad.”

“If you’re heading for the tomb, all the standard anti-undead items will help you out.”

“Finally, there’s a little village a few days off that had their well turn into a dungeon. Since then, any water they’ve pulled out has been badly poisoned. This one’s fairly recent, so maybe the Empire will sort it out for them, but it’d be good for us if we could take care of it first.”

“I’m sure you know by now how dangerous small, cramped, underwater dungeons can be, but at least you don’t have to worry about this one flooding over time. It’s starting that way. Not gonna lie, this one might be tough.”

“If you go for it, expect lots of poison and little oxygen.”

“Hmmm…”
