Maybe giving him a closet will give him somewhere to store his marbles

Coccyx, you’re one to talk, dude. You’re a literal skeleton.
I’m glad Lara’s still with us, but being trapped in a body you don’t want and having your ability to speak removed is definitely still traumatizing. That’s not something you can just get over. It will definitely take time. Realistically, she’s going to have some pretty severe body dismorphia. Thank goodness Ricki’s there.
It seems as though that little bit of closure regarding Indira is the thing that kept her mind and soul intact, since we hit the goal, and the Bad Ending would have been us not getting the lighter in time and therefore losing Lara permanently. Love really is a powerful force.
Maybe there’s still a way to restore her body. If there’s magic strong enough to transform people into driders, there’s got to be magic strong enough to turn them back. I’m not expecting anything like that until late in the game, though.
The story has definitely taken an interesting turn with this, and I’m curious to see how this plays out. I like the idea that maxing bond doesn’t necessarily mean a character’s story is over. What I like about this from a narrative perspective is that it has the potential to add another layer to the relationship between Lara and Ricki.
Did you read the stream notes? Someone posted them on the dungeon report.
Relevant highlights: Not getting the lighter in time would have resulted in Lara turning without retaining sapience and trying (probably successfully) to kill Ricki. If for whatever reason that happened in a way that still allowed Ricki and Lara to make it to the lighter after turning, we still would have wound up with this end.
LSN saying something along the lines of ‘there was never an entirely happy ending for Lara, if you want those go read a cheesy light novel’. Suggests to me Lara will probably not get a potion of undo Drider.
When they had just left the dungeon, this was perfectly understandable, no one had said their name yet. They’ve had at least a week of downtime to get introduced by now, which canonically took place after the Spookiness of which we choose not to speak (I9P33). I guess Coxxyx really is just like this.

Kamau: “That… that’s Lara.”
Coccyx: “Impossible!” “I don’t know anyone by that name!”
Coccyx, if you do not know any “Lara”, you cannot know whether the person next to Ricki is that Lara or not. Logic! I am afraid that having lost your brain when becoming a skeleton seems to have damaged your mind somewhat.
Adorable, Coccyx acting like he is capable of harming Lara.
Excuse me, he’s the greatest archer the world has ever known
If I remember correctly Lara specifically killed him 2 or 3 times, so very true
Lil’ bonehead.
The reason that you do not know anyone by that name is that you keep losing your marbles. Duct Tape will fix that.
