“Long ago, before the Empire, kobolds served dragons.”
“Every adult dragon had at least a small tribe under their power.”
“Before they got too big, they’d steal some eggs from their sire’s kobolds to found their own little kingdom.”
“Then they would direct their servants to do whatever they didn’t want to do themselves.”
“Clean, cook, dig, build, patrol, protect…”
“As we kobolds would multiply over time, founding new villages and spreading farther and farther away from our master’s lair, the dragon’s territory would grow.”
“Eventually two dragons’ territories would overlap, which would result in terrifying battles.”
“They would bite and claw and breathe at each other, roving back and forth and devastating the countryside.”
“And the kobolds would have to fight as well.”
The first dragon looks glorious, and I want to lead their armies to battle.
I want a webcomic with that dragon as (one of the) main character(s). 😀
I want video-game with premise like that.
basically KeeperRL but Dragon.
Give us the spin-off LSN!
Honestly that just sounds like living in Feudal society.
The only new part is that young dragons are allowed to move out and start their own kingdoms, rather than being pre-emtivelly killed and/or integrated into power structure of their parent.
I don’t think that’s the case. I think that’s even more feudal. Young dragon grew older and its influence grew as well, mostly within parent’s premises, until parent/s finally noticed that his domain no longer is fully theirs 🙂
That’s just feudal with adequate unclaimed (by people you respect) space around.
Oh no you had to cook clean and fight in the army and all that while you built more and more villages as your population grew!
I gotta say, that last panel is pretty adorable for what it’s depicting.
