Dungeon 7 Turn 50
————
Ricki picks up the spear and eggs, Macadamia picks up the carrots and onions (which he later drops), and Lohk picks up her shield before all three climb back up the stalk. Kamau continues to attack the rat king, causing a rat to split off from it just like last turn (don’t check, don’t count, just trust me). Despite the pollen becoming more powerful, Kamau still takes no damage… for now.
Macadamia continues on to the tree house.
…..can we PLEASE go now? *facepalm*
Especially that we now have a ratking and 2 extra rats chasing Kamau..
..also respect for @ “(don’t check, don’t count, just trust me)”, it’s much better this way for everybody than to edit the old page
And the 2 rats being separated just screams incoming death
Seriosly guys, we WILL loose a character on round 52 if we arent out yet
All current plans say we leave now. Let us hope no new plans to the contrary show up.
We go home now, yes, Master?
Mac: Grab the carrots
Ricki: Go left
Lohk: Go left
Kamau: Grab the onions, then go left
Everybody: Leave
I count six different types of produce (and eggs) for 6×3 gold plus 23 items total for a gold output of 41. I think that we can accept this and move on before something dramatic happens.
Question: doesn’t this endanger the smalls?
Edit: [Nevermind]
Ricki cannot destroy the scarecrow without using the ax she can’t carry. (And whyever would she do that?)
Lohk cannot use mov and mom senses in the same turn
Scarecrow thing was just flavor since her action would be wasted otherwise anyway.
But yeah, you’re correct on Mom’s senses. Retracted my plan.
Anyone else have an idea that might get us the rope with our spare actions?
I mean if people had spare inventory we could try ray of frosting the knot.
Sure why not, let’s do that. Even if it doesn’t work, we’ll learn it doesn’t for the future. You gonna post that?
Posted
Minor variation, posted on request.
Ricki: Go left. Then, keeping to the right side of the screen, and not climbing, consider what it would take to shove an enemy, like that squirrel, off a ledge.
Lohk: Go left. Ray of frost the knot on the rope so it falls down to the floor as intact as you can
Mac: Fill your inventory: grab the rope, or all the carrots if rope isn’t available.
Kamau: Grab the onions, then go left
Everybody: Leave
N(ice).
I also just had an idea for constructively using Ricky’s otherwise wasted action:
“Examine the fluffy rat on the left edge of the roof and consider its precarious position. Does it look like you could shove it off to its death if you were next to it? What if it was a dire rat instead? What if a big human like Kamau were to do the pushing?”
Gives us potentially useful information for when we encounter monsters on similar positions in the future.
I will not post that, because it may cause LSN to parse it as Ricki coming into range of said fluffly rat, but it is not a bad idea in principle.
I mean with his Dungeon Eyes, while staying on the ground. But yeah, we can and should add that part explicitly to be safe from misinterpretation.
Ok, done
*her dungeon eyes. Ricki is a girl.
We did try a shove action in temple dungeon. Kamau tried to push an armored solar and it didn’t work because it was too heavy. LSN effectively confirmed that we can shove things if the enemy is small/light enough
Yeah, but we are testing small pc vs small enemy. (Actually, we don’t have anything else to do with Ricki, so even if LSN says nothing it isn’t a loss.)
Thanks for the information!
Maybe it will be better if Kamau uses his Interpose ability. Just in case.
The last squirrel attacked the party previously:
https://dungeoneyes.com/dungeon-7-turn-4/
“Kamau gets an acorn bounced off his head from the leftmost squirrel as he passes under it.”
We NEED Kamau to interpose so everybody is protected! If not than there is a chance for Kamau to receive last Remorse point.
“as he passes under it” – but now we are not approaching the squirrel at all?!
Follow the link https://dungeoneyes.com/dungeon-7-turn-4/ please.
And see whether the party will follow the same way (in revert direction) where they can be hit by the squirrel (as Kamau was).
I think that answer is yes.
If you think that No – let’s check ;)))
The party is just gonna leave out the fore or background. No need to pass under the squirrel.
Goal: All remaining characters must gather at the exit…
If the party can leave from the current room – then, yes, agree.
They can. The exit is any outside room where Ricki decides its time to exit. We confirmed this with LSN on Discord, but also it’s the only reading of the rules that makes outdoor dungeons any easier to exit than bog standard indoor ones, which we know they are supposed to be from context.
Am I right that if the squirrel hits Ricki she will lose one HP (not enough defense gear) and Kamau will be out?
Ricki is NOT going anywhere near that tree rat. She is just thinking about the problem, whether she could, theoretically, shove the tree rat from the “house”. I.e. her “action” would be “Ricki thinks she could shove down the squirrel” (but does not DO this!) or “Ricki thinks she could never move that squirrel” (obviously neither acting on that) or “Ricki does not know whether she could move that squirrel” (and for obvious reasons is not going to test it in this dungeon). It all happens in Ricki’s mind!
OK. But see my answer below, please.
We are not moving to the first/left room, but leaving the dungeon, see the comment of TNIM. We do not even have enough movment rate to enter the very left room, whereas leaving (to foreground) does not cost movement. So indeed I think the answer is No.
If it is possible to leave from the current position – then, I agree, there is no problem.
Hm, the squirrel did not even move a hair, but the rat king did. Should have interposed out of needless fear of the squirrel and defended unintended against the rats. Well, hindsight.
