Dungeon 18 Turn 7
————

Ricki opens the locked chest (discarding her thieves’ tools) and finds a rusted and shattered metal idol of some kind. She doesn’t know what it’s supposed to represent, but it feels holy in some way. Three of the dire rats hit her on her way past, but she takes no damage.
Amadeusz checks the nearby poster and finds that, like the others, it is for werewolves. He’d be surprised if there was any other kind in here.
Ricki sees another guard fall to the solar guardian up above.

BROKEN IDOL
Tool/Treasure
An icon of a forgotten god. While carried, all attacks deal +1 holy damage, but also have a 10% to cost 1 maximum HP. Also gives -2 Def against guards and their allies.
Weight 1, Cost 10

Plan: change.
Ricki: make sure Amad is out and flip the lever. Equip your shield again if you haven’t already.
Amad: shape change back to human. Move past the fight and up into next room. Whistle non-chalant while you do so.
We got a pretty good hint that the posters are all for wolf, so any buffs we get for being in wolf form is effectively negated with the posters. We can always change back if we need to later.
We’ll be in position for Amad to flip the lever so Ricki can scout the next room
We don’t think walking by the guards will raise an alarm?
No. No messenger pigeons to be seen and Amad isn’t on the wanted posters and there’s no mention of that mechanic at the dungeon start. Even if he did raise the alarm, a patrol is coming anyway that we can hide from.
That guard has a costume change left, and will survive the Solar next turn. If there’s reason for the guard to be angry at Amadeusz, they may break orders to pursue. In general, they’ve an incentive to back off and wait for reinforcements.
Also risky – the Solar targets randomly. I’d prefer to not have Amadeusz be a target.
It does seem like that’s what LSN is saying – but then why are there so many posters on the third floor? If they don’t stack (thanks for explaining that last turn), why put up more than the minimum? I was starting to think that some could be for human bards and/or goblins, but now I don’t know what to think.
