Dungeon 18 Turn 18
————

Ricki uses her Sneaky ability to slip past several enemies and return to the room Amadeusz is in.
Amadeusz pulls the lever again, raising the barrier as the guard leans in to attack him. The strike from the barrier deals some damage, but the guard still isn’t finished.
Ricki notices the rat queen slurping up a pink tail like a strand of spaghetti. Weird.

Plan: lost a turn
Amad: flip the lever again. move left to where the solar was.
Ricki: avoid mousetraps and grit. Keep left to avoid being squished.
Because Amad can’t move after attacking, we lost another turn. We will definitely want to lock the door behind us when we meet up now
Next turn Amad can kill and Ricki can unlock the door.
What do you mean lost a turn?
Isnt the timeline identical? Amad flip, attack elite, attack enforcer instead of flip, flip, attack enforcer (and Ricki is grit, unlock door, attack enforcer either way)?
Original timeline had:
Amad kill (last turn)
Amad flip lever.
Amad flip lever again and move up to join Ricki
Current order is
Amad flip (last turn)
Amad flip again
Amad kill.
Amad move up and join Ricki
Because Amad can’t move after attacking, Ricki needs to wait one more turn before locking the door behind Amad.
I’m all for trying to save items by trying new things but we’re at the point where any bad assumptions or miscalculations can cost us dearly. Completing the dungeon should be our only goal right now
??? No look at the full order for both timeline. Amad can move before attacking so its the exact same.
Original timeline had:
Amad kill (last turn)
Amad flip lever.
Amad flip lever again and move up but cant attack anyway
Amad attack enforcer with ricki
Current order is
Amad flip (last turn)
Amad flip again
Amad kill.
Amad move up and attack enforcer with ricki
And Ricki sneak, grit, flip, attack enforcer with amad either way.
Its the same thing. This was free.
And saving fangs IS for completion cuz we’ll need to use 2 if enforcer can dodge and must be beaten like the final enemy in Lara bond dungeon.
Ah, I think what we’re missing was Ricki was supposed to lock the door behind Amad when he gets up. But in this instance, Amad can attack but Ricki cannot since she is using her action to lock the door. We could forgo locking the door and alpha strike but I really am worries about that patrol catching up.
Yee that’d be nice but Ricki doesn’t have the action for it before T21 anyway(unless she dont grit but enforcer could hit her hard so we dont wanna risk that)
I think we should be ok with patrol tho:
Patrol has to stop after entering a new room so if we dont see them entering room 3 on T20, it is safe to alpha strike T21
If we do see them T20, we can take a turn flipping both room 4 levers T21 instead of attacking
Before I read the text I thought the rat queen was sticking her tongue out at Ricki as she ran away. Maybe the queen eats rat tails to recover HP?
I’ve seen a couple comments about the enforcer dodging, but he looks more like a heavy striker type to me. Remember what Kamau said before we fought the first enforcer (D11 T24):
Which reminds me again: Ricki should really ditch that broken idol (-2 def vs guards) before we face him.
not a bad idea, but then – there’s a chance that ‘forgotten god’ will stop being forgotten if we carry it all the way to the end, and might happily
smitereward usDefinitely.
