Dungeon 12 Turn 35
————
Lara uses her venomous sting spell to try and get the skeletons to run over to the crabs, which works (though it does no damage). However, her plans of igniting a turf war don’t seem to work! The skeletons completely ignore the skull crabs for some reason. Fortunately, Lara is able to tank the combined damage from both, taking only 1 damage from drowning. She’d better get to air soon…
Amadeusz swims up and heals himself with the wand of mend, recovering 1 HP. He leaves the wand on the ground when he’s done.
Cordy picks up the wish coin that was left behind in Pet Master’s secret base.
Ricki breaks free of the paralysis! She can act normally next turn. Better make the most of it!
Oh good, I’m finally early enough I can fix all your guys screw ups..
Ricki: clearly fighting ghouls isn’t your thing and that’s ok. Everyone has their short comings. Move into the next room and let the frog eat you.
Cordy: Battle the Petmaster, after you win eat the egg he gives you.
Amadeusz: Swim back down and kill indiscriminately among the crabs and skeletons.
Lara: Thank Amadeusz for his timely rescue before you down.
Finally, someone gets more dislikes/downvotes than me,& in this case it’s justified!
Yeah, though I think it’s pretty harsh people are downvoting me just because of a single typo. It’s pretty clear I meant drown and not down.
Actually this isn’t as dumb as it sounds on the Ricki portion. Unless we’re going for an all-clear (which is no longer looking very viable), we don’t NEED to kill the ghouls. Ricki could just go kill the frog, and ignore the last ghoul.
I am frog and I approve this message
Your parents have weird standards for names,King Harold.
Plan: more prep
Cordy: move right move right to air.
Lara: move up move left use wand of mend on yourself and leave it on floor.
Amad: move right and kill fish.
Ricki: kill the wounded ghoul .
Edit: was under the impression we were only one short of killing a ghoul before. Changed for the guarant the guaranteed kill
We don’t know that Ricki and her shroom will be enough to kill the undamaged ghoul. When Ricki hit the first time, we were told that her crit items activated. That could have been up to 4 extra damage if both activated, but was at least 2 extra. Plus there’s no meaningful benefit to having one at reduced health. If you’re thinking of having the mushie try to solo the other, even 1 defense would prevent that.
Let’s either have Ricki attack the weakened ghoul and mushie do nothing (save mushie, which is effectively +1HP when we’re pretty short on healing) or have Ricki attack the weakened one and mushie attack the strong one (spending a mushie to reduce Ricki’s risk of paralysis).
What about Lara? She’s on 1HP & I can’t think of any way to save her besides “move to the room on the right,& reach the air pocket while hoping nothing gets past your DEF stat”…
Nothing got past her def stat last turn, and this turn there’s one less enemy
We know that Ricki and her shroom will be enough to kill the undamaged ghoul.
Can Lara move past the crabs & skeketons without provoking attacks of opportunity?
She has enough def to tank everything. And shes going to the wand which gets her an hp as well
Oh shit.Lara’s on 1 HP again. What do we do?Can she swim right & to the air pocket above the gigacrab without receiving any more damage?
Geesh, really? To the boss where we just evacuated Ama because we didnt want to risk surprises?
To safely evac Lara, she only needs to go 1 UP and then 1 LEFT, and she will end up in SkeleTitan room, and there is a pocket of air there.
All the water all along is clear, except for current starting room, which actually gives her def boost. If she survived this turn and got no damage from enemies and skeletons, she can simply ignore them and swim up then left and stand in the air pocket with 1 hp.
Also, doing so, she would use 2 mov for this, and she would still have 2 actions, so she can even pick up the wand and heal herself and end up with 2hp.
So uh… You don’t want Lara to receive damage. So you’re going to have her walk away from the skeletons (attack of opportunity), past the little crabs (attack of opportunity), and into the room with a boss that has been alerted and has unknown attack?
This would only avoid the attack of the Skelefish, by the way. Which she tanked along with all the rest last turn.
I was ASKING for a REASON you jerks! She’s drowned enough already!
