Ricki moves back to cell block A. As she goes, the three rats that have apparently finished their cheese attack her, dealing 2 damage and leaving her once again with only 1 HP.
It looks like she’s all-in on recruiting this other prisoner. If it doesn’t work, this is the end.
“Is that yours? I found it with the other stuff the guards take from people.”
“I don’t know what you did to make you think you deserve to be here, but all I did was steal some food. I’ve seen a LOT of dead people in this jail, and I don’t think I should end up as one of them just because I was hungry.”
“Considering that, don’t you think it’s possible that maybe you’re being punished too harshly, too?”
“…Okay. I’ll help you.”
Kamau has agreed to aid in Ricki’s escape, but not to join her party. Readers can now give him actions to take, but his stats and abilities remain hidden.
Well that was pretty easy.
I guess step one is to ask if he can kill those rats for us. As a big human he should have much less trouble than we do with them. He might even take reduced damage thanks to all his vitals being out of reach.
Ricki: check cell 2A if it’s unlocked, we may be able to break through the ceiling with the other balls and then use the lockpicks on Kamau
Kamau: Wait, I guess? Or see/tell us if you can move/fight/climb ladders while still shackled

Kamau Reveal that you were just staying prisoner to be polite and rip apart your cell door like it was paper.
Ricki Realize your head and body is smaller than the gaps between the bars and you could easily get in and out of any cell. Grab the weapon in the top cell and look at the weird floor of the middle cell.

Alright its time to check if the plan to get the ball and chain off kamau will work. Lets see if the door above him is unlocked. If it isn’t, we will have to use the lockpick. Once we do theres no going back. Then we see if we can drop a ball onto the other ball and chain and pray it works. If all goes well, then we can try to make our escape.
In case people didn’t see my post last page, I suggested when we are ready to leave to grab the dog food from the bucket and make a break for the sewer gate with the food to avoid the rat fight altogether.
Let’s get him free, then. Ricki : Unlock that door with a pick! And once that’s done, Kamau : Move your ball and chain under that ladder, and step as far away from it as you can. Looks like we’ll need to use that method to try freeing you after all.
