Dungeon 16 Turn 40

————

Ricki, Kamau, and Ix charge to the left in the hopes ending the battle with the corn general, but it’s nowhere to be found! Apparently it can suck its gut and/or armour in sufficiently to get down the ladder shaft or the hole in the middle of the room. Also missing: the pack mule, loaded down with all kinds of unique and useful items. Great.

Great.

Suddenly, the fortress itself shudders beneath everyone’s feet, and a few bricks falls from the ceiling overhead. Something new is happening and the chances that it isn’t terrible are low.

Botanya wonders what all the shaking is about, but not hard enough to stop her from looting the nearby chest. Inside she finds an fire-element enchantment scroll. This is probably the equivalent of a weapon too dangerous to use for the vegetable monsters. The iceberg lettuce appears to be sweating even as it tries to smash Botanya’s face in.

Or maybe it’s literally melting?

The dungeon parameters have changed!

Goal: Evacuate the dungeon before the flying fortress collapses and destroys everything underneath it, which includes a majority of the dungeon itself. Fortunately, that includes all the evil corn, so hey, the original goal is taken care of!

Time Limit: The fortress collapses at the end of turn 50.

The dungeon can still be evacuated at the flower, or by jumping off any cloud while holding a flower parachute. This no longer constitutes abandoning.
