Dungeon 15 Turn 48
————

With the battle no longer in a perilous state, Ricki returns to the entrance and finally disarms the middle ladder, managing to resist the urge to throw away her thieves’ tools in the process.
Amadeusz descends the newly-safe ladder and joins the fight in Ricki’s place.

The last two non-docile spiders are defeated, and the party divides up the loot. Sue takes most of it, while Lara takes a backup sword and Amadeusz picks up one stray venom gland.
Plan: Healing, chest and positioning
Lara and Amad are in reach of both bottom brazier rooms for turn 50 cuz I want us to have good info this time.
Lara: Grab Sue and move left. Move up. Drop Sue. Grab Daisy. DO NOT LET GO OF DAISY!! Drink Sue’s ectoplasm while daisy is safe in your hands.
Sue: Get carried by Lara. Feed her your ectoplasm.
Amad: Move left. Move up. Action move right.
Ricki: After Lara grabbed Daisy, move left(lower). Enter hole. Kill widow on chest.
What is our contingency plan if Lara cant hold Daisy back and Daisy gets stuck in the web by widows?
Then Ricki would need a turn to free her after. I think she should be safe anyway, there’s like 3 layer of safety for daisy:
-Lara would have to fail, she’s a big and strong drider
-pets arent even a valid target when not attacking (how to play)
-even if they were, the dumb spiders would have to ignore Ricki who IS actually attacking their group
I was just worried the contingency was leaving Daisy behind in the web which I would be opposed to.
I have a question for ya Sick. What was the strategy of your plan last turn, nothing is dead that wouldn’t be dead with my plan and we don’t know where the HPriestess is. Had we gone with my plan, we’d know where she is right now and have two turns to deal with the brazier that she isn’t at.
(Not trying to be harsh, just trying to figure out what your strategy is.)
She’s in the bottom right almost guaranteed. Having eyes on her isn’t really necessary. Not impossible I guess but think it’s very unlikely she teleports to one place and summons spiders in another. We also aren’t ever going to break any brazier except for the bottom right one, and only if we absolutely have to. Top Right Brazier is a death sentence. Bottom Left Brazier is the only good place to fight HP. No touchy.
Current goal is if on turn 50 the HP teleports to
Bottom Left (A3): We kill the wandering spiders as they reach B3, send in Lara/Ricki to kill the lone spider next to the HP, then kill the HP with everyone.
Top Right (D1): Break the D3 Brazier and wait for HP to teleport again. Then do the A3 plan just 5 turns later.
Bottom Right (D3): Wolf and Lara do the dirge plan. If she teleports to D1, we follow with the D1 plan. If she teleports to A3, we follow with the A3 plan.
The discord channel’s the main place to be for more in depth strategy discussions if that interests you.
“Not impossible I guess but think it’s very unlikely she teleports to one place and summons spiders in another.”
HPriestes has already summon spiders in a location she wasn’t in, this is recorded fact. You cannot take “spiders were summoned in that place” as proof HP is in that place.
“The discord channel’s…”
… someplace I will never be seen in because I hate chat. I can agree it’s much haster for responding to rapidly evolving situations such as multiple updates in a day, thus tactics. But strategy can take place here just fine. Next dungeon will be better as I’ll be able to pay closer attention to what gear* everyone is starting with and be able to input on strategy in advance.
I’ll make a list and keep it updated. The “Items” page is nigh impossible to parse accurately for me as some items are too closely coloured to others to be perceptibly different. Also having to scroll through the whole page to identify things takes far more time than I have patience for.
Also there were quite a few minor details missing/incorrect from your plan last turn. Wolf’s movement, not specifying who loots what, not specifying Sue swap to healing robes, and not specifying that Sue has to wear the arachnomancer helmet (Important!).
Likewise, not trying to be harsh. There’s just a bunch of small details we like to pay attention to to help survive the dungeon. I promise I am very impressed by your initiative so far and am very happy every time I see a plan from you, please do not let me be discouraging.
Ricki: Move down, move left into upper tunnel (A3), Kill widow.
Sue: Move left, Mend Princess, give Lara Ecto Potion.
Lara: Move left, drink Ecto Potion.
Wolf: Move left.
Everyone keeps their pets with them.
Strategy: Everyone is positioned to go either left or right in two moves and destroy a brazier, or attack HPriestess if she is in A3. If there is another group of hunting spiders coming from D3 (unlikely), this avoids them for a turn.
We need info, we need to be destroying braziers, and we need to kill the HPriestess. Every action we take needs to be doing at least one, preferably two, of these things.
Sadly Sue can’t mend and trade Lara the potion. Both are actions. We should prioritize the potion of the 2 choices
