Dungeon 15 Turn 17

Ricki leaves the room, and Sue intends to follow, but accidentally-maybe-kind-of-on-purpose-but-definitely-accidentally gets caught in the spider web that nobody but Ricki can see. If only a strong, wolfishly handsome gentleman was on hand to free her! Or perhaps… the dwarven maiden’s state of helplessness will tempt him into a different course of action…?
Amadeusz cuts Sue free from the web. Lara watch the show while she drinks the potion off the ground, recovering 5 HP.
Ricki had a plan to lure the last spider in the entrance room out from behind its web, but she needs Sue’s help, and when Sue doesn’t show up as expected Ricki uses her Dungeon Eyes to see what the hold up is and witnesses attempted dubiously consensual furry romance which freaks her out so badly she runs right into the web.
Daisy tries to defend her owner from the spider, avoiding its attack while creating an opening for Ricki to land a strike. The spider takes heavy damage but isn’t quite defeated yet.

Plan: Prep for Lara Assault.
Ricki: Cut yourself loose. Point out ladder trap to Lara and sue
Amad: Eat some meat
Lara and Sue: move down trade. Avoid ladder trap.
Trade: Lara give Sue lens, silk armor and rope. Take Heavy Helm and cigs.
Princess and Daisy: finish off Spider and avoid web
This gets Princess fed, and Lara at 21 def vs poison. She can carry Sue up next turn.
Lara’s stats after trade is: 21 def vs poison (12 non poison) and 10 attack (12 with cigs)
Yeea.. it seems that “everything happens at once” meant that Sue started off before Amad started/finished cutting the web.. That is rather reasonable outcome.
But what I don’t get is why Ricky got stuck in the web?
Edit: went back all the way to D15T10 – ooh I see now. The spider is behind the web, and Ricky was ordered to attack the spider “while it passed through the web”, which didnt happen, but it was a kind of “conditional order” which isnt guaranteed to hold, so she did what she could and attacked it directly, and it required passing through, and got stuck, while the spider simply moved out towards Daisy..
So.. how many turns does the anti-poison buff have?
Edit2: oh.. it expired long time ago. Do I see right that the spider could one-shot Daisy? She has Def2 and 5HP, and the spider has Atk4 and 1-2poison dmg, AND on top of that this unknown “field effect” mentioned by the PET MASTER.. if the dungeon adds ambient buff like a mere +1dmg, Daisy might be in danger :/
The “Field Effect” is +1 Atk & Def to Spiders and Driders, as far as we can tell.
Daisy’s Cute Bow gives her target a -2 penalty to damage.
This brings the spider to 4-5 damage total. Daisy/Princess cannot be oneshot.
I believe the web issue with Sue was caused by not having Ricki point it out. The image with the mantis made it look like both Amad and Lara were also in the web so we didn’t need to point it out.
Now it looks like they were both free of the web and it was empty and invisible and so Sue got stuck

I get that dungeon logic isn’t logical, but really, shouldn’t Lara the ex-arachnomancer and current drider be able to see the webs too?
I think they can see it if someone is trapped in it. But apparently no one was.
Maybe we should just send Sue right to the boss arena and tell her to try flirting. It should do enough psych damage do finish the dungeon.
I like that post, but I did not vote for it lest we really try to do that.
