Dungeon 15 Turn 8
————

Amadeusz picks himself up off the ground and briefly heads back upstairs to check if there are any new spiders, because hey, you never know. He doesn’t see any, so he returns back down the ladder.

Lara ferries Sue down to the lowest level as well, leaving a second pet abandoned at the top of the ladder. Sue feeds one of the potions of poison resistance to Daisy, while Lara sneaks past the driders into the next room.
Ricki continues to fight both driders, taking 4 damage as she fails to evade this time. But she finishes one of them off, which should make this fight much easier going forward.
Amadeusz defeats the killer spider.

Lara uses her new silk armour to bypass the spider web she doesn’t know is there, runs past the two enemies, and his the poison brazier as hard as she can. Despite her power, she narrowly fails to destroy it in a single hit, though it does appear significantly damaged now. That thing’s sturdy!
And so is Lara, which is fortunate, since the two incoming attacks, plus the retributive damage from the brazier, deal a whopping total of 8 damage to her! Fortunately, since her attack was made against an object rather than a creature, she is able to flee the room afterwards, returning to the rest of her party.
PLAN: Take a break to
play pokemonbattle petsLara: Swap back to your Poison Robes. Help Ricki and Sue up the shaft. Head left. Attack the less guarded brazier. Then return to the right.
Sue: Thank Lara for the ride with a Heal from the Heal Wand. Keep chillin with her.
Wolf: Head up. Avoid the ladder rung trap and slice up the webs Ricki shows you. Then head up again to scout.
Ricki: Ride Lara, then dismount and head up. Escort Wolf past the ladder trap and show him the web in the top left area of the room. Then head through the lower left exit of the room, avoiding the ladder rung again, to challenge the Pet Master. GO DAISY! USE BITE!
Whoa.. that thing with Lara running there in SILK armour.. was that.. necessary?
why not use 1-2 more turns to safely get rid of the guarding mobs first? I guess it was a gamble to one-hit-destroy the brazier in a single turn and then just ignore the guarding monsters? Or maybe the plan was mis-typed and we wanted to destroy the top brazier instead? (but then, silk wouldn’t be needed.. I can’t wrap my head around this)
I gotta apologize for the last turn. Sorry!
We originally made the Lara dash plan before we knew the braziers did damage and needed 15+ damage to take out.
The original plan would have had Lara use the tower shield but we needed more damage so we swapped it and forgot about the counter dmg.
We’re going to take it a bit slower moving forward now. No more shortcut attempts
Hi I’m trying to remember to keep the map updated. Here’s the link again if anybody’s forgotten https://bit.ly/dungeon-eyes-map
whoo long time no see! great to see you again 😀
Sue: use spoilers ability. What’s up with these braziers?
rate my crystal ball 😀
however, now that I look at it, it implies we came through its behind, but I14P13 suggests that the entrance is through its head/mouth.. hmm..
this makes some sense – 8 legs for a spider, but just 6 braziers to destroy (or even just 4, with the legs facing to the right both having puzzle-related things), and while idk what those ‘bent inwards’ corridors near the centre would represent, at least for the bottom one, it has some sense with a lot of webs and a lot of wolf-spiders in the same corridor.
I am secretly hoping the bottom right group is optional and that there is no brazier past them.
