Finally the ringsmif’s evasion fails, and the entire party but for the flytrap is able to land a solid hit. He collapses at last!
However, it seems that Kamau’s evasion failed at the same time. The ringsmif lands one last blow, as do both miners, one of whom scores a critical hit with his pick. Despite Botanya’s use of the wand of mend, Kamau also falls.
…But rises once more, for he is Dauntless! He survives with but 1 HP remaining.
Whew! I am unclear on why Kamau’s armor didn’t kick in too on top of Dauntless, but I’m glad he’s alive.
I think it just didn’t get mentioned in the text. The current party page seems to have been updated to show that dauntless is used up, but still lists Kamau at 3 hp.
Plan: Clean up and assess
Kamau: Interpose. Pick up whatever rings the Smif drops. Drop the 2 silver rings of evasion to make room
Botania: Mend Kamau
Ricki and Daisy: Attack Miner 1
Mac and Plant: Attack Miner 2
Ricki, pick up the Dagger the smif drops. Drop a Lockpicks to make room.
Mac, Pickup that monocle if it drops. Drop the meat from Golly to make room
Next turn we heal up kamau with Grit while grabbing whatever items we can. Then we decide what to do next.
I think we could have Botanya drop her defense rings, so Mac can stock them up. Depending on what rings the smiffer had, she can get those or Kamau’s silver ones.
And I really think we need to drop the meat on the table and then set it on fire. We have set tables on fire before. Lets cook some meat!

Just trying to accomodate Inventory management, cleaning up the enemies and preparing for a barbecue. We clearly can’t count on the armor alone to keep Kamau Alice.
Kamau: Interpose. Drop the 2 silver rings of evasion to make room and grab the dagger and the boots the smiffer drops.
Botania: Mend Kamau. Drop your 2 silver rings of protection.
Ricki: Attack Miner 1. Drop the stack of raw meat on the table and your thieves tools to make space for the smiffer’s armor.
Daisy: Attack Miner 1.
Mac: Attack Miner 2. Drop the stack of raw meat on the table, stash the horn with Golly, grab the smiffer’s eye loupes.
Inventory is pretty bad. We still need space for the enchanting tools.m
Ring smif definitely has rings. Should we not pick them up as well?
