Dungeon 14 Turn 6
————
After she and her party leave behind a few items that serve no current purpose, she guides them past the various trap triggers (excepting the pit trap, which she deliberately sets off) before succumbing to the temptation to open the final chest in the room.
Within she finds a sharp tooth with a bit of jawbone seemingly still attached. It looks exceedingly sharp.
Ricki then hurries to catch up with—
QUICK BEFORE SHE GETS HERE!!
Kamau and Mac trade rings, and Kamau picks up one of the kobolds’ dropped shields. Botanya sneakily descends the ladder behind the dragon rider and rotfang cobra, remaining unseen by them (the scorpion probably sees her but it’s occupied with other things). She then uses a magic lens to identify the giant arachnid.
And then Ricki and the beautiful dwarven maiden arrive.

TYRANT FANG
Consumable/Treasure
A tooth fallen from the jaw of a powerful lizard, said to be able to pierce anything. It can be attached to a weapon or piece of ammunition when attacking in order to deal +5 unblockable damage.
Weight 1 (Stack 3), Cost 10
SCORPION, KILLER
HP: 15
Atk: 7
Def: 6
Ability: +2~5 poison damage
Drops: 30% Scorpion Venom Gland
In old dungeons, creatures that have already been mutated may undergo a secondary transformation. These giant scorpions are bigger, stronger, and boast deadlier venom than the more common variety. They are unlikely to pursue potential prey outside of their claimed territory, so if a fight is going poorly, running is an option.
Kamau: Wield your shield and interpose the Rotfang fight, and have Cordyfive bite the Dragon Rider (1 damage)
Ricki: Slash the Dragon Rider and have Daisy bite them. (11 damage)
Mac: Swap your worn defense ring for the +2 Atk Ring in Golly’s packs, stab the Dragon Rider. (9 damage)
Botanya: Get within melee range of the Rotfang and have your Flytrap bite the Dragon Rider. (3 damage)
–
Gets us 24 damage on the Poison Dragon Rider. He’s currently showing 21 Hp+Def, so even if he has +3 defense from rings we can still get the kill in one turn.
Please, get Botanya in there too to debuff the rider and the cobra.
I think that fang gives us a big clue what the tyrant fight is going to be like…
Same thoughts here. On one hand, it make me want to Lens him even more, to see how deadly it is. He’ll have a shitload of such teeth, but let’s just say 2x, 2×5 unblockable damage. Better keep an eye on Kamau and better to save his Dauntless for that fight.. On the other hand, I think I don’t want to see the Tyrant coming back here, I’m more curious to see what’s next in the story, not how much were f* up here xD
I mean. All in-game, all possible: we have Amadeusz, right? He can revive people, right? How about an opponent skill: “Hungry Carnivore Hunter: on the beginning of combat, furiously devours one random living organic opponent, killing them in the process”. Because, why not. Prepared players will just revive them after the combat. Players were not prepared? Tee-hee, opsie, fortunatelly you have some replacement characters!
I mean, I don’t expect this kind of nasty surprise, but the t-rex in the intro looks deadly, sounds deadly, and now this tooth – I’m really worried to meet it. It’s not an old guy’s ghost that leaves us some candies in the end.
Use the tyrant fang on Sue.
